Not sure if the merger had anything to do with it but Amazon was much better this year than FX with Undone, The Boys and Fleabag(from what i hear)

i literally didnt even think of that dude being gone until you said something...and i just literally finished episode 3. But yeah...HBO's The GOAT. They never lost the crown. GOT...True Detective...Silicon Valley...Barry...Westworld...The Deuce...Chernobyl and Watchmen all got or are getting my viewership. Succession will likely be watched when I get some time.

By could be, do you mean Refn pulling the same trick of lathering the screen with moody colours and distilled dialogue to distract the viewer from seeing he has absolutely no aptitude as a storyteller?

It's violent and has a decent amount of nudity.
Also, great world building. Possibly the best ever. There are thousands of years worth of history they made up just to serve the current story that takes place over like a 10-15 year span.
