On PS4 it updated auto. Go means nothing more than "HBO on the Go". There's only 2 HBO's. Regular HBO which is HBO cable/GO and HBO MAX.

I am merely addressing the confusion. NOW and GO still exist, but some users of both get MAX free. Some HBO subscribers get MAX free. dude that posted on the other page said he DOES NOT. so he has GO but is also paying for MAX. if you have a ROKU or FireTV, then watching from those platforms you still must use NOW to get your HBO content if you are not a cable/sat subscriber as MAX isnt available yet. thats probably what breh was talking about. the other breh...I dont know what his deal is with Spectrum and he said he tried to authenticate to MAX and gave him weird message. So unless you have a PS4, Max is on the fukkin go too. :mjlol: GO and MAX both still on mobile platforms but my login works for BOTH.

so to say there is only 2 HBO's is incorrect, it depends on the platform you are using. and that is what @Jello Biafra was referring to.

So if I had Now, would I be ineligible for a free trial for Max? I still have the Now app on my phone, which at some point updated to Max, so I’m assuming I can’t get any free trials

didnt know they had free trials, just the $11.99 offer which may have only been good if you subbed before launch? either way, what people did for that was just cancelled NOW and used different email for MAX.

But they didn't kill now...it still exists which adds to the confusion.
There's HBO and HBO Max. There is no HBO Go no Now anymore. Anybody that had what was once called HBO Now was upgraded to Max unless they subbed to it from a company that hasn't partnered for the Max upgrade like Amazon. Anybody that doesn't have HBO Max just gets HBO. I'd say it's pretty simple.

my man, stop saying this if you dont know what you are talking about. Roku and FireTV users who are not cable/sat subs STILL have to get their HBO content from NOW until that deal is reached. NOW still works for those subs and is their ONLY option, therefore it exists still! HBO GO is still available on mobile devices and still works the same exact way. Neither of these former options have been upgraded with MAX content on the platforms I mentioned. Screenshots from my phone below....and I can show you NOW as well on Roku/FireTV but that shouldnt be necessary. the only thing that changed is NOW was upgraded to MAX on mobile devices and game consoles. I have access to all of them so I know how they all work, but its not simple to the average user at all.

I had my hopes up that they might drop the bread to get access to Chappelle's Show since they got South Park. That'd be a game changer:wow:
