Nah its 100% healthy vs unhealthy. You're the try hard tryna prove something about the origin of food like that matters. Is it healthy, yes or no should be your only concern.:mindblown:

Since I mentioned Korean BBQ, getting intestines is considered a delicacy in S. Korea. If you can afford the small and large intestines, you're considered a big-baller. You'll definitely find it all over the world. No one is claiming that it's the healthiest of food, but nothing is healthy in exorbitant quantities. S. Koreans have high rates of stomach cancer due to the large amount of fermented food they eat and yet, we're told that fermented foods are 'great' for you. Same issue in Japan and China. Their is no 'perfect' cuisine. Sushi rice is loaded with sugar and even in Japan people are warned not to eat too much of it to manage their weight but in the US we act like Sushi is the high-point of healthy food.

AAs are not over-weight because of soul-food....we were actually over-all thinner when we did eat it more often. Now, a lot of women especially are over-weight because they are inactive and many have moved to pre-made food loaded with sodium and hidden sugar. Fast-food joints are overly present in 'urban' communities and they sell food with little to no nutritional value.Women who use food-stamps are regulated to the lowest quality of processed food available. Two packs of '50 chickn nuggets' for $5? You know that's crap...I'd rather her fry up some chicken tbh.

I don't think anyone is advocating eating mac and cheese, collard greens and candied yams every-day. Y'all really acting like Americans ain't in chipotle eating a 1000 kcal burrito for lunch every other Tuesday then going to to get a 'California roll' for dinner because it's supposedly 'healthy' .....

Black people are overweignt due to non active life styles.

You will seen older brehs who live off
Honey buns and hot wingd but they are lean and muscular because they live very active lifestyles.

My pops eats mainly west african food amd has a belly because he lives a non active life style, yet my fam in Liberia who eat the same diet are very lean and muscular due to their active life styles.

Avg American in general doesnt even do 30 minutes of excercise

Right. Again, I didn't use the term slave food lmao. I said I understood why slaves ate it especially when they couldn't get other cuts. Somebody else posted direct narratives from slaves and they recorded they got "the poorest cuts" etc. Idk why acknoedging the history of the cuisine in America is an issue to some people. It is a cuisine that was introduced to the states by the slave population. If whites started trying to claim a part in it you know we would all set them straight about how soul food came about here....the slave population
