It's not hard to understand it just doesn't make sense. What's "gender oppression" in a society where race trump's gender? Who's been more oppressed, white women or black men?
Rid yourself of this question. Of course nothing anyone on earth has gone through compares to the slave trade. However, does that fact prevent you from empathizing with Holocaust victims? It shouldn't...That's the problem...you are focusing more on the "who has it worse?" and not on "why do ANY of us have to deal with it?"
Women are targeted in some of the most insidious ways. For instance, up until recently rape was literally considered part of war. Totally acceptable in most cases until basically the Geneva Convention. Workplace discrimination in more than just wages. Just look at all the bullshyt going on with Fox News, Ailes and Bill O' Riley. That's shyt that's been going on for decades. Or perhaps even the fact that a room full of MEN sat around and decided to defund Planned Parenthood. A org that is used by in large by women for MUCH more than abortions (sexual health and education, check ups, seminars etc.)
The key is empathy, breh. And too often brother like you sound like you aren't really on the side of equality (or equity to be more accurate) but like some one who just wants their shot at supremacy.
