I came to that conclusion based on my observations on how they handle responsibility in the workplace, in other positions of authority/importance(i.e: military, education, police) and in their personal lives.

Isn't Iceland primarily controlled by women in positions of power? They seem to be doing alright..

So the women in your life is a representative sample of all the women that exist in the world across cultures and age groups? :stopitslime:
No, they aren't. But it's not a question of just the women "in my life". I can draw observations based on other things too. Like I said above, in every aspect of existence that contributes to humanity men are the leading figures.

Iceland is not the world, is it? And I'm not sure what that is supposed to prove.

I didn't claim that women aren't capable of competence. Just that, big picture-wise, the world is better off with men in charge. And as bad as the world got at some points(i.e. the World Wars), we never would have reached our current heights as a species if females were "in charge" instead of men.

Why is it that the leading figures in basically every field you can think of are made up in vast proportion by men? You can look around you and know that everything you see was built by men. If that isn't an indicator that men as a whole are more competent than women, what is?

Wrong, they are just credited for most of it all. What the fukk does a man need a 28-31 day calender for?

Your whole argument could have came out of a white supremacists mouth if we switched the word "women" with "blacks".. think about it.

Edit: Don't play dumb, you know exactly why.. its because most of those fields are ran primarily by men.

If anything that's an indicator that they have been oppressed and marginalized because of that exact thinking.

There are plenty of examples of women exceeding in fields years before men but going unrecognized and uncredited or even discredited because "she couldn't think of that, she's just a woman"

Really? The calendar? That's what you chose to nitpick about? Talk about obsfucation, lol.
How about fukking architecture, agriculture, harnessing exectricity, the internal combustion engine etc. Human and civil rights? Medicine?

Yes, it could have. But it would be wrong. Black people's contributions are well documented. Just like it's well documented that men are the major contributors in basically every field that you can think of.

Edit: Don't play dumb, you know exactly why.. its because most of those fields are ran primarily by men.
Begging your pardons, but how is that a rebuttal? You've just proved my point. Those fields are traditionally run by men because men show the most competence in them.
Do you really think that if a woman invented the lightbulb her contribution would have been ignored?

That's because men, as a whole, are more capable of handling the responsibility than women. As bad as the world can get with men in charge, it would be worse in the hands of women. It's not a question of intentions, but a question of competence.

Would you give a child a voice in household decisions just so they won't be "marginalized"?

She's a terrific example of a female who was able to handle responsibility.
I think the problem is that a lot of people think like you, and in turn, we aren't given the opportunity.

Very well, show me some.

And just so we're clear, it's not enough to show me that some women were ahead of men in a particular field. That's not what we're arguing about. Show me proof that women's contributions rivaled those of men in both number and scope, but were instead ignored or discredited.

:pachaha: No, those fields are traditionally run by men because historically women weren't allowed to participate in them.
