But that's circular logic. They were opressed because they were opressed, lol.

Do you have any thoughts on why they were opressed, beyond the white man is evil? Again, I don't mean to give offense. But it's not a question of morality. Yes opression is morally wrong and they shouldn't have done it. But this discussion was about power/competence/capability.

Should have been more clear, because one of your post spoke about why things are still the way they are. Why men are still in power? How long does it take for a group to overcome something and eventually rise to power? For women it goes beyond race, to something that has been happening since the beginning of time. Before it was even about mental skill and more about brute strength. Men are naturally physically stronger than women, most of the time physically larger than women. Therefore they have had the upperhand. Then they made laws to oppress women.

This is more about power than anything else. If you have the power it doesn't matter who else is competent or capable. How would anyone even know if they don't get the opportunity? How can you say that when most women along with minorities don't even get to break that glass ceiling. Most of the people in power aren't even there because of their competence and ability. It's because of who they know, money, and power.

wait because there aren't more female leaders this automatically means they are oppressed ok. So If I don't have a female in my 5 on 5 basketball game it's because im oppressing them? Or maybe it's because no females showed up.

We do hear about women's contributions all the time. Even for the ww2 thing that was brought up. There's posters from that era for God's sake.

Why are women taken advantage of? For the same reason anyone is.

Why were women able to be controlled and enslaved? The answer is because they were able to. You answered your own question. We were created to have equal rights but not equal strength and roles... the more people fight that the more chaos and unhappiness it's going to create.

The fact that women get abortions is enough evidence that men don't oppress women

I don't quite understand. Are you saying that there are/were matriarchal societies, we just don't know about them?
:pachaha: A cursory google search would do wonders for you breh. Historically there have been very many matriarchal societies and there are some that still exist today.

The Mosuo of Tibet
The Minangkabau of Indonesia
The Nagovisi of New Guinea
The Akan of Ghana
The Garo if India
The Bribri of Costa Rica
