That's actually a really good question. The only thing I can think of is having a conversation with an ex about whether we were truly finished/still had feelings for each other. I wouldn't necessarily call that cheating because it truly was random, we rarely talked, and I didn't want him back (although feelings were still there); however, that stuff should be left in the past when you trying to build something with someone new. I would feel some type of way if my s/o was entertaining those conversations with his ex, but I wouldn't call him a cheater.

How was it "random"? I doubt such a deep discussion would happen after a random encounter at the supermarket.

The post also said that I WOULD NOT consider that cheating on his part either (but you ignored that). It would just make me uncomfortable (as I sure it would make him uncomfortable). However, people talk to their exes all the damn time.

That question says name something you wouldn't want them to do. Should I not have answered that a different way?

Random as in we literally never really talked (at all). However, I was a bridesmaid in his brother's wedding (which happened two years AFTER we broke up). The conversation probably would not have happen if I wasn't in the wedding because we lived in different cities and did not talk to each other. I was looking good and the negro was feeling regretful and approached ME with the subject. He started the conversation with the it was so nice to see you etc.

Wasn't that the point of the question (at least that's how I comprehended the question)? That my participation wasn't necessary and that I deemed it inappropriate because it could have made my bf uncomfortable? Did you guys not want an honest answer?

My bf knew we had a conversation. He did not know all the detail, but I don't tell anyone my business like that. My boyfriend was at the wedding with me, knew it was my ex's family, etc. You are worse than a police officer trying to find a reason to give you a ticket when he pulled you over for nothing.
