Im so glad to see FSU back in the national title hunt and an elite team. Finally now can put the days of Chris Rix *pukes* and Jeff Bowden *pukes one more time* behind them.
The defense scared me in the first half but they stepped up, the depth on this squad is ridiculous. Only a few teams could lose two guys like Greg Reid and Brandon Jenkins and not miss a beat, those recruiting classes are paying off.
EJ Manuel FINALLY had the big game FSU fans were waiting on, his injury really helped derail last year and i've been preaching that he's Heisman caliber im glad he showed it. After the years of Chris Rix, Drew Weatherford and Xavier Lee God knows FSU has needed a great QB
Also that running game is beastly. CT4 and James Wilder Jr are a problem in the backfield.

Lonnie Pryor is so slept on nationally dude is a beast at the FB position. Our depth at WR is underrated as well. It's nice not having to depend on just 1 guy we got 6 guys that can make a play when needed. Defense ain't gonna face nothing like that rest of the year they gonna get back to putting the clamps on offenses. Hopefully Brooks shakes off the last game and gets his confidence back he is gonna come up big for us later this year.

What makes me upset is...Clemson always had defense first mentally...the past 3 seasons have been horrible to watch defensively. But it's not the scheme...it's the players decision makings. Smh
Up until last year, we consistently had top 20 defenses, then we just fell flat on our faces. I think the biggest problem is the defensive line. Malliciah Goodman hasnt amounted to shyt, and the rest are young/inexperienced. We have no pass rush, and cant stop the run for shyt. Nkemdiche should help right away, and if we get Montravious Adams that would be huge.
If LSU, Bama, Georgia, SCar or Florida let a team hang 37 on their defense...I don't think you guys would be saying they're "for real"....In fact, I think the word "overrated" would be getting thrown around.
FSU is good but compared to LSU, UA, SCar, UGA and Fla., FSU ain't sheit......and I told yall Oklahoma is SOOOOOO overrated.

You guys act as if FSU wasn't giving up big numbers in certain games back in the day when we was top 5. I mentioned in that game thread the other night that this Clemson game gave me flashbacks to the early season Georgia Tech game we won 41-35 in 1999. Joe Hamilton and them GT WR's were abusing the shyt out of our defense that was top 5-10 nationally. FSU ain't worried about giving up no 30 in certain games we know we have the athletes on defense to make stops when it matters the most.
If I see the creative playcalling from any SEC team on the offensive side anytime soon y'all "vaunted" defenses would get toasted to. You guys play a conservative style of offensive football none of those teams would come close to putting up 37 head up on an FSU defense led by Coach Stoops. Clemson OC said himself he went out in a blaze of glory to move the ball on our defense he had to use as many gimmick plays as possible and said our depth overwhelmed them the 2nd half on defense.

If you don't think any Florida school can lose to any other Florida school then you don't know Florida football. Instate games are like national championship games,no matter the records. Everybody comes with their A-game. They hire coaches to win those games specifically. FSU looks good with a beatable schedule but that instate gauntlet is going to be the real test.

Fam even as a UF fan....I can clearly see that FSU has a different "feel" to them this year. That game last Saturday against Clemson was basically the same game they lost last year and have lost those kind of games the past few years whenever they went down by more than 10 against formidable opponents.
On paper right now, only Bama and LSU would be favored over FSU. I'd take FSU over Oregon
