Most people I know.. logical people.. loved Man of Steel. But they were never huge fans of the Reeves/golden era/Donner shyt either who none of them including myself want to see on screen EVER again :ehh:

And nobody who didn't like Man Of Steel EVER said it needed to be exactly like the Reeves/Donner Superman. Continue to pretend that over 40 years of Superman comics between Donner's Superman and Man Of Steel don't exist, brehs.

I seriously can't believe it is getting such praise when it is biting the previous movies so hard. It really lacks originality, this is an Emperor Has No Clothes situation IMO. People just want to like it so bad. As flawed as Eps 1 - 3 are at least they fukking tried to be original. This was so predictable.
Besides Darth Vader in Eps 3-6 there isn't much intriguing about this franchise. He is head and shoulders the star of the show. Without him it holds little interest for me.
This.

The hatred George would've received if he pulled half this stuff :ohhh:

Ain't a damn thing "apparently" about it :heh:

Why's it better? because it looked like an updated version of the first one with elements of the latter two, and followed the exact same structure and plot lines of them just with new faces? :mjlol:

If it wasn't for it being "Star Wars" it would have been trashed for being nothing but a rehash/reboot like every other franchise is in this anti-remake/reboot period we're in. Movie had zero standout scenes, sequences or lines along with adding absolutely... nothing.

I agree with the naysayers, and it hurts because I was hella excited about this movie. My stannery knows no bounds, I have even watched the prequels numerous times :wow:

Obi not being able to save Qui-Gon in 1 :damn:

Minimal Jar-Jar screentime in 2 :lawd:

Obi-Wan sonning Anakin in 3 :whew:

And Vader in the rest was just :demonic:

But this newest one breh....when it ended I legit was like :patrice::ld:

But I will say this though. My lady has never seen Star Wars and has never have two shyts about Star Wars, but she took me out to go see it (that's my baby yall:noah:) and she really enjoyed it. I'm talking about before I could express to her why I felt let down she was walking out the theater like "GREAT CHOICE BAE:gladbron:"

inside I was like:what: but of course I played it cool and thanked her for the night out. But this got me thinking...she wants to watch the other ones now, but will this ruin her A NEW HOPE experience :lupe:? Or will she even be bothered by the similarities to the point it ruins it for her like it does for us?

Either way my chicks a rider, I luh dat bihh :ahh:
