Hate to say it but Punk's run has been a bust

Last years worked shoot was pretty damn epic (IMO)......I liked the build-up leading into MITB (plus it was a ill match) and Punk taking off with the belt, that shyt was dope. The IWC and fans in general were buzzing (they were covering it on TMZ/ESPN/ETC blah blah blah all that shyt)...It looked like people actually gave a fukk and were interested in what Punk and The E were going to do next....But the shyt only lasted like two fukkin weeks and boom Punk is back in the E......then ESPN and all those media fukkers didn't care anymore like "ahh whatever lame storyline, we wasted our time covering this shyt"

The promo exchanges he had with H and Nash were pretty cool.......

But yeah I co-sign since then, it's been CM Bust (storyline/promo wise, but still solid in the ring though)

Del Rio is unover....how is that Punk's fault? They managed to have a great match at SS despite Del Rio being dead weight in the feud. How you guys complain about Punk being corny and turn around and act like Del Rio isn't worse?
The Kliq shoehorning themselves into THE hottest wrestling product in at least five years is Punk's fault? shyt about mystery texts, Nash crying about not being Haitch's "fwiend" anymore and HHH borderline burying Punk and going over him at NOC, You all COSIGN that bullshyt then complain about wrestlers politickin backstage. That Nash/HHH abortion should've never happened and whether you like Punk or not you know that is true. Damn near killed Punk's momentum from MITB. Punk was stuck between a rock and a hard place in that angle and it showed. Blame WWE Creative for dangling plot threads, not Punk.

I'm saying that despite the obstacles he's had he's managed to solidify himself not only as a maineventer but as the #2 Guy in the WWE, behind Cena. I don't agree with the thread title basically. I recognize that his reign may be unsuccessful but if that is the case, the blame shouldn't be just on Punk.

lol @ the plea copping for Punk. Blame it on booking all you want. other superstars have done more with less. The Rock had no reason being in a feud with Billy Gunn, and yet he was able to pull it off and keep his momentum. Cena was feuding with one of the most boring superstar on the roster (Kane). And yet people still toned in. Hell, he's even made The Miz and most of all Wade Barrett, the definition of the word 'bland', look good. And yet, you mean to tell me he can't figure out a way to make his feuds with Jericho, HHH, Del Rio and Nash somewhat interesting?
Truth is, he doesn't cut it. He doesn't have what it takes to reach next level. Last summer was his peak and if he couldn't slam it home with the big names he feud with, what else is he gonna do? True stars turn water into wine. Punk doesn't have that quality. If he's not cutting a shoot promo, he's useless on the mic.

He's been alright but the funny promo style isn't his best and he's losing momentum. The direction of the Jericho feud took a wrong turn with the family angle. Felt a little generic.
