Has there ever been an RPG based on old African or Native American themes?

Ogre Battle 64, there was a region of black slaves in that game who you could decide to free them, force them into fighting for you or ignore them.

As already stated, a black studio would have to make this or black countries would have to become such large consumers of video games for a japanese or western studio to view it as a viable market to make money.

The reason why japanese developers would be quick to make a "westernized" game compared to say an african, native american, or middle eastern game is simply because the west is the largest market for video games so they gear their products to them.

Very few countries compare that its not even worth the investment. Is gaming big in africa for example?

Polygon had good article on gaming in Africa and the developer nature of it but for some reason I can't link on my phone
