What's GAAS?Gaming hit it’s peak transitioning from mmo’s to rpg lite and gaas...as those games support the ridiculous scale that these games need to hit to begin to see a profit.
GAAS will also be gamings downfall because the scale and the amount of resources it takes to feed the beast is way too damn high
VR and shyt like that are novelties and will never be accepted by the mass of non traditional gamers and will remain a fad just like weird ass controllers or whatever niche shyt you can think of.

Is in game advertising really that bad if they dont OD?Indie is where it's at. Mind you, a lot of indie titles are rough around the edges, but there's definitely innovation and concepts where you can see them getting it right with more money and a bigger team.
The industry needs to focus less about making ALL the money and go back to having pride in releasing COMPLETE bodies of work instead of cutting out content that they can sell as DLC. Sneaking in loot boxes, in-game advertising (FFXV), In-game purchases, etc. They've literally gone crazy with greed. Loot boxes are a particular problem in my opinion because it's more or less playground gambling
They legit tried telling gamers that there's no point or incentive to develop single-player action games because it's not as much of a cash cow as online AAA.
There needs to be a reset
Are indies where the fresh piff is at?
