Had a rare arrhythmic condition called WPW. Heart would speed up then the fluttering feeling of heart trying to settle down. I got a cardiac ablation where the DR ran a probe up an artery to my heart and zapped the main vein on the heart . It's been a godsend having the procedure done. No more racing heart, no more feelings of heart stoppage, no more fluttering
Modern medicine is beautiful. Its crazy some people are afraid of doctors and medicine, I will never be that person.

Nah he always knew he had it but didn't want surgery to fix it as he's stubborn

Just like most men, stubborn as shyt about our health. :snoop:

my dad had two mini strokes and didn't even tell us, didn't even take time off work :dahell:. Only last year after two stays in the hospital he finally started taking medication for the first time in his life.

Got damn, older black men are bad about this. A friend of mines pops blood pressure was like 230/120 :damn: and he still refuses to take blood pressure meds. Instead he started taking total beets.

This thread is real. I used to be on amlodopine and it wasn’t helping so they put me on nebivolol to assist in bringing the bp down to normal levels. Go see a cardiologist regularly and try to maintain your stress levels by exercising and taking your diet seriously. I stopped smoking weed and drinking alcohol completely. Best of luck to all of you in getting to a heart healthy diet.

I have an appointment today and they will discuss implanting a defibrillator if my EF hasn't improved to where they think it should be. I have been feeling better though and taking my medicine religiously, so I am hopeful. I used to get out of breathe bad walking and especially going up steps but not anymore. Another thing was I would fill fluid in my lungs at times but that's gone away as well. Thanks for your testimony breh, shyt means alot. You always been one of my favorite posters going back years. How did you change your diet? Did you quit drinking all together?
How did your appointment go?

Glad he’s okay.

Im always anxious thinking I’ll drop dead but there are doctors and medicine that can really halt or fix these issues. Just got to listen to them and change your lifestyle.

My friend had the same issue. 180/110 and refused to take medicine. SMH.

I am dealing with it now and had an echo test done on Friday and get the results tomorrow. I started having the issue in September, so not getting my hopes up that my EF % has gone up much. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this and has any thoughts, tips, etc?
