So we just allowed Magic to get a pass?

the premise of this thread is fukking stupid

I recall a thread like this being made about Magic before.

Kareem, McAdoo, Wilkes, Worthy, Scott, Green, Divac vs. Shaq, Dwight, Pau, Bynum, Odom, Nash, Malone, Payton, Rice

I would give Kobe's guys the edge there. Then you also have to consider the fact that you had the C's and 6ers in the 80's with comparable lineups while nobody in this most recent era can come close to what the Lakers have done.

I dont' think either guy should be penalized for playing with talent I just don't think that other guys who haven't played with such talent should be penalized either. It's just funny how many Lakers fans were crying about the Heat and talking about who was too good to play with. It's like a fan of Jay saying another rapper talks about money too much.

Yeah. That nikka Shaq wasn't shyt either.

And fukk Wilt Chamberlain and Magic Johnson too btw. They played with hella all-stars and HOFs. Magic aint never carried shyt dolo and Kareem numbers are inflated.

Derek Jeter and Reggie Jackson can eat a dikk too.

That nikka Mike wouldn't have been shyt either if he hadn't had the greatest coach ever and a top 50 goat in Scottie and all stars like Rodman and Grant.

That CAC Brett Favre aint shyt either. That CAC had pro bowlers in Freeman, Brooks, and Chmura.

That gay CAC Troy Aikman aint shyt either. He had one of the greatest lines of all time for 4 years straight plus hall of famers in Moose, Emmit and the playmaker.

Yeah. That funky honkey Bird overrated too because he played with 4 HOFs over his career. He didn't "carry" his team by himself.

Dat nikka Paul Pierce a p*ssy too because he couldn't win unless he had 2 HOFs and an all star playing with him too.

You know who else aint shyt.....Super Joe Montana....That's right.

That sissy white boy don't deserve none of his accolades because he played under one of the greatest coaches ever, and had the GOAT receiver plus a HOF RB on his squad. He didn't "carry" his team.

Man. Dr. J punk ass would have never been shyt if wasn't for Andrew Toney and Moses. They need stop making commercials with his old overrated ass because he couldn't "carry" his team all by his lonesome

This applies to coaches too. Oh yes sir. God Bless the dead but Coach Wooden wasn't shyt. That's right.

He wasn't shyt. Hell he had Lou Alcindor, Bill Walton, Jamal Wlkes, and Gail Goodrich. Who can't win with them.

With that being said. I gotta take back what I said about Phil Jackson earlier.

He aint a GOAT coach. That motherfukka is a fraud. I mean who can't win with MJ, or Kobe & Shaq, right? RIGHT?

Long as hell but this is the thread ender.

added some forgotten names

I think its even to favoring Magic, but its close as hell.

And the premise of this thread is stupid because very talented teams win titles. Thats how this works. Guys who play with less shouldnt be penalized either tho, I agree.

The fact that Kobe averaged 25 ppg in all but one playoffs he started in, pretty much renders this thread pretty irrelevant

The difference though is that Magic was a point guard. He made alot of those guys way better than they were, not the other way around.

None of those guys made Kobe better than he is. Yeah Shaq made it easier for him early on but he has more than proven himself individually since then.

All of the guys listed except Scott did similar and some cases better things when they weren't playing with Magic. Doesn't matter which position they played both Magic and Kobe had a wealth of talent around them throughout their respective careers. Doesn't take away from how great they both were as individuals. And it shouldn't add to it either. Anyone looking to do either is clearly agenda driven.

Love
Someone add up all star appearances of players who have played with Kobe Bryant. Unless someone's already done it in the thread

Was it 2006-2007 that Kobe Bryant finally wasnt surrounded with Allstars...and the team was like 41-41?? During Kobes "Prime" (28 years old)

Then u put Lebron on a team with no help (his whole career in Cleveland) and they made the finals and had 60 win seasons

Nah

03 playoffs Manu averaged 9 ppg 3ast and shooting only 39% :scusthov:

TP in the offs had 15ppg, 3.5 ast and only 40% fg :scusthov:

And David Robinson was only giving 7 & 6, granted in about 22mpg but still not even close to being an all star.

Its safe to say that Mr. Fundamental was a one man wreckin crew that year.

As much as I love Timmy, I swear yall don't watch ball. Who was taking them charges and controlling the paint in those playoffs most of the time. You guessed it, Mr. Robinson.

Who had the best or maybe second best D in the league at that time.
The Spurs. They always win with D.

Popovich always spreads the ball around. The spurs never needed one nikka to drop 30 pius for 7-8 playoff games straight in order to have a chance to win.

You forgot how good Malik Rose's D was and he was given you 10 points a game.

Also S Jack was checking 3 positions and locking nikkas down and giving you 13 points in the playoff.

Throw in TPs 15, Manu's 8 and whatever Mr. Robinson, and Speedy Claxton's sorry ass could give ya, the Spurs was always gonna be in the mix cause no one could break 90 points on em.

Don't just throw random stats out there to make a point.
