Peak super Cena, Miz’s initial ascent with Jerry Lawler as his first feud, exciting Nexus invasion, shytty Nexus booking immediately after for weeks, massive Sheamus push, boring matches with Sheamus/Swagger/Orton, Hot heel Edge getting injured and turning into generic boring rockstar Edge, Million Dollar giveaway segments(horrendous), WWECW firmly turning into Velocity Part II, and pushing Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool to the moon. There’s various other mediocre stuff from that era, but that’s from the top of my head. The highlights from that era were heel R-Truth/Awesome truth, Evan Bourne, Kofi’s rise until Orton stopped it, the original Nexus invasion, Hall of Pain Mark Henry, Orton vs Christian feud (though Christian lost most of the matches), CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan’s rise after being drafted or traded to Raw.

All the good things you mentioned there alone makes that era better than the first half of this year outside of NXT.

MeanMark and Heel R-Truth were goldmines that should be appreciated through the end of times.

First half of 09' still had a little of what made 07' and 08' good, we at least got the Jericho vs Rey and Punk vs Jeff feuds on SD.
