Has a crowd ever left in droves like this DURING a PPV main event?

WWE is still working on new ways to get fans to cheer for Roman Reigns, according to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer said that WWE is trying to recreate the Daniel Bryan storyline with Reigns where management is favoring Brock Lesnar and trying to screw him over, which is why he isn't champion. He noted that while fans aren't buying it, the company is still going with it.

Backlash was a smashing success

Thsts rwo days of that crazy ass language...they kept saying "we're moving on" last night. They knew the reaction on social media was venomous...especially to Roman main eventing over the WWE belt.

Peak super Cena, Miz’s initial ascent with Jerry Lawler as his first feud, exciting Nexus invasion, shytty Nexus booking immediately after for weeks, massive Sheamus push, boring matches with Sheamus/Swagger/Orton, Hot heel Edge getting injured and turning into generic boring rockstar Edge, Million Dollar giveaway segments(horrendous), WWECW firmly turning into Velocity Part II, and pushing Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool to the moon. There’s various other mediocre stuff from that era, but that’s from the top of my head. The highlights from that era were heel R-Truth/Awesome truth, Evan Bourne, Kofi’s rise until Orton stopped it, the original Nexus invasion, Hall of Pain Mark Henry, Orton vs Christian feud (though Christian lost most of the matches), CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan’s rise after being drafted or traded to Raw.
and too much Del Rio

Imagine how pissed social media would have been had AJ/Nak gone on last with their double count out in a no DQ match finish :russ:

That anger would be justified. A moronic finish like that to close a pay per view is stupid. Even worse is making a random match with Roman go on after the title match because that automatically devalues the title.
