Your sample size was 20 people :francis: :camby:

I apologize if you only know shytty stoners that haven't amounted to shyt in their lives and exemplify the traditional "stoner". I know some very well off and successful stoners that pretty much run Boston so I have a very different outlook than you.
We'll wait for tha next sample size of a 100 :sas1:

Pretty sure tha results will be tha same :sas2:

:snoop: @ you still using outliers and broscience as evidence against cold hard scientific studies :camby:

:troll: Your study also said most weed is 3-8% THC so if people are losing IQ and brain cells over that garbage, I can't wait to see what the results are when they smoke legit 20%+ strains.

Lots of things change your brain chemistry. shyt, watching porn on the regular is highly detrimental to your brain health.
OT yep :francis: it's a very recent phenomenon because of the Internet but porn addiction has huge effects on the brain. Trust me as a teenager who pretty much grew up on Internet porn. The difference with and without it is incomprehensible.

What will happen next? The study's co-authors admit that their sample size was small. Their plan now is to conduct a bigger study that not only looks at the brain abnormalities, but also relates them to functional outcomes.

Also, its this a long term change or short term change. They didn't specify and if its short term, you see the same changes with alcohol though I don't know if its the same area. However, the brain is very plastic and this doesn't specify if this change is permanent or not. We already know that there is some mental impairment with weed. The question is for how long and if simply stopping will return you to a baseline.

The team of scientists compared the size, shape, and density of the nucleus accumbens and the amygdala — a brain region that plays a central role in emotion — in 20 marijuana users and 20 non-users.

a 40 sample study not confined to the lab? anybody smoking 4 times a week is not a recreational user and may be also doing plenty of alcohol with their hits. comparing that group with a sober group is azz imo.
