So Harden was traded because of a difference of 4.5 million dollars. I don't buy that it has to be more to the story. He musta just wanted to be the man on his own team. But i think the Thunder came out on top with this trade. A starting caliber two guard in Martin, a rookie who will proly be their starter in the future in Lamb and two first and second round picks. Even if they only get one out of those four picks right they still come out good. It's crazy that OKC got a better deal for Harden then the Magic got for Dwight.

he got traded because our cap would have been at 95 million with his contract extension we offered. that 4.5 million extra he wanted comes with a 2.25 per dollar over penalty so, that could have been a extra 25-30 million for him.

So what the breakdown on the Picks. I've read that the Tor is top 3 and 14-30 protected this year. What about the next year? I can see the Raps making a playoff push this year.

Oklahoma City would get the Raptors’ pick if it falls between four and 14 next season. If it doesn’t, it would get it if it’s between three and 14 the following two seasons. If they still have not gotten the pick, the Thunder would get it if it is between the second and 14th picks. If the Raptors make the playoffs for the next five seasons, Oklahoma City would get their pick the following season.

Good luck with chemistry OKC fans. You were getting by with Harden but K-Mart is going to want his touches. That's why he got dealt from the Kings to Houston years back. He didn't want to share the ball with Tyreke . Westbrook and Durant command the ball way more than 'Reke. This will only work if martin is fine with coming off the bench and picking up where Harden left off. Nothing more.

their offense executed at a high rate..they play a traditional halfcourt offense so of course they dont put up alot of points, but they score what they need to win...

best playmaker in the game....he deserves the max its that simple
:dead:

offenisve rating = how many points did they generate per 100 possessions. 27th out of 30 is not executing at a high rate. they score what they need to win???? :wtf:

how can he be the best playmaker in the game when he orchestrates one of the worst offenses in the league?

So pretty much worse case scenario is the raps just missing and getting a 10-13 pick. Best being a possible 2. :leon:

worst case scenerio is they lose anywhere from 3+++ in the next few years. we can get 4-14 this year though which is possible for them. anything under 10 is a steal in this draft, so many big men:wow:.

:what: Do you know what a young Ray Allen was doing?

I believe I was in HS when Ray Allen got drafted. Dude was driving and cutting to the basket a lot more back then than he is now but was never a ferocious finisher by any means. And thats what Kevin Martin is. He never had Allens range but he has the rest down to a T

This video just proved my point IYAM. As stated before Kevin Martin reminds me of a young Ray Allen MINUS the range.

I'm not saying the mofo is or will be as good as Ray Allen was but their overall game is very similar. Hes more like a hibrid of Eddie Jones and Allen

  • Eddie Jones was never had Allen's handles but was great at slashing to the basket without the ball.
  • Allen had far better handles than Jones but was not as strong a finisher at the hoop even though he was good at it in his own right.
  • Kevin Martin to me is a great mixture of the two but more so Allen than Jones.

When people say player X reminds them of player Y they are not saying they are as good. Just similar games

For real tho i've always liked his game ever since he was in Sacramento. Some wanna compare him to Pippen but i dont see it. Not as good a passer, rebounder or defender.

edit: damn i just looked him up. Didnt know he was so old. Dude was drafted in 2004???

Have ya'll seen him play the last couple years, he is nowhere near the player he was in Sac. Son was a chucker last year. It's funny, people wanna shyt on Harden for having a bad series because he wasn't getting his usual calls. Well that was Martin all of last year.
