damn i cant believe harden turned down 54 mil... his agent mustve gassed him up somethin serious. 13+ mil is a lot of money for the third best player on a team. i love his game but it seems everytime he has started, or played without KD or russ hes struggled. hes not built to be a first option.

i cant wait to see what kmart is going to able to do as a third option next to two legit superstars to take focus off of him. this could resurrect his career

Harden struggled in the NBA Finals, tried too hard and slowly, surely unraveled over the course of the series. When the rest of the Thunder were celebrating a Game 1 victory over Miami in the locker room, Harden could be heard grumbling over too few shots (five), and too few minutes (22).
Veterans Derek Fisher and Perkins laid into Harden, telling him essentially: We just won an NBA Finals game and the last thing in the world that ought to worry you are your individual statistics. Harden apologized, but it was clear his mindset wasn't right. He never found his way back into a proper rhythm in the Finals.

Joe Johnson's first contract w/ ATL when he left PHX was not bad a deal because he was putting up better numbers & playing better than he did in PHX while getting around $13 mil/per. It was his 2nd contract ATL gave him that was the bad deal.
