Michael was supernatural in the 2018 film breh.

He got run over at full speed, took a little nap and then got up just fine and resumed his killing spree like it was just another day


He also got shot in the neck and then got right up like The Undertaker


He wasn't no "regular man".

The reason why it stood out more in Halloween Kills. Is because unlike the 2018 version they didn't have him sneaking up on people to do the kills. You never saw too much his super strength in the first one. Plus only Laure and her daughter were shown fighting back against him so you barely saw his durability.

In Kills the dynamic is different where people are fighting back against him so you see more of his powers.

Breh you have to remember they wanted to bring back Jamie Lee Curtis whose character was killed in Halloween Resurrection.

There was no way to do that without either fully rebooting or continuing from the movies where her character lived.
