I can't believe the Hellraiser series is still going on. 1987-present without remakes/reboots/offshoots. Only the 9th one didn't have the original Pinhead.

Who the fukk keeps making these movies?

Long story short, Clive Barker wrote a novella called "The Hellbound Heart" in 1986. Dimension Films approached him to make it into a movie. At the time he didn't really care about movies, he was a well known author, so he signed the movie rights over to Dimension and wrote/directed the first movie.

He left after the 1st movie, but since they retained the rights they continued to milk the franchise.

Eventually he hoped to get the rights back, but every year or two they make another movie solely to fukk him out of the rights. If a certain amount of time lapses without them producing a "Hellraiser" movie the film rights revert back to Barker. The 9th movie in the series was released to a single theater just so they could say it had a theatrical release. :dead:

None of the shyt after the first 1-2 movies is considered canon, and Barker is writing a novel called "The Scarlet Gospels" which is the "real" version of the "Hellraiser" series.

Actually part 3 is what the series was meant to be. An anthology series about weird Halloween related horror. Michael Myers was too popular though, so they just stuck with him.

Fred.

And also that movie BOMBED & TANKED :pachaha:

Jason X was the shyt breh....the remake of Friday 13th wasn't bad either. It was better than Nightmare remake and especially Rob Zombie sadistic bullshyt Halloween remakes.

JAson X? The one where he was in the future on a space ship? You are joking right?
And that Friday the 13th remake was a steaming pile of shyt that was just as bad as the horrible Nightmare and Halloween remakes.

Word of god. Englund and Craven >>> Some production error in part 5 (Which I don't even recall seeing).

:dead:...did you just call an actual event in a series of films which you are a fan of a production error because you don't wanna deal with the facts of said event because it contradicts your morals of why you may like a film character..........so you just go say fukk it :yeshrug: and call it a production error??!?!?!?!

LOL!!!!!!!!

I am fukking :dead: right now at that, :laff:

:wtf: If Halloween 3 wasnt called Halloween 3 it would be looked at as more a more bomb movie. Storylibe was bomb, dope co lead bytch and a ill creepy tune heard throughout the movie. Its actually one of my fav horror movies

Pretty much. Carpenter was on to something. He wanted to create a new Halloween film every other year or so, each with its' own story. I liked the idea, and enjoyed H3, but people just wanted to see Michael. To me, Myers died in Halloween 2, which was Carpenter's intention. The events that followed were exactly what the guy wanted to avoid. The sequels completely crapped on and over saturated the franchise. They were better off leaving Michael dead. I'm glad Carpenter gave the people the middle finger in that regard and refused to do another Halloween film after H3.
