Jameer Nelson was balling that season. When he went down, Hedo Turkoglu carried that team. Dwight didn't come close to carrying that NBA finals team.

It's not a coincidence that as soon as Hedo left that team they weren't nearly as good. Plus Dwight had a bunch of knock down shooters surrounding him. Van Gundy covered that nikkas flaws well.

And Dwight played similar to how he is now when he was with Kobe. People just blamed it on his back injury or Kobe being a ball hog. I even remember some people trying to argue the Lakers wouldn't be struggling if they just kept going to Dwight in the post (Steve Kerr stayed saying that shyt).

Dwight isnt as strong as people make him seem.. hes top heavy, he doesnt have the weight from the waist down to bully people around in the post like shaq, bynum, and drummond.. And he doesnt have the coordination to be hakeem, hes jusy too damn stiff too.. All in all, he never had a chance to be an all time great center, but if he accepted his talents and gifts he could have been dominant in other ways..
