He doesn't have the hands for that. Dwight has no semblance of a soft touch. Just watch when he does try hook shots, looks like he's just hurling that shyt up there.
True indeed, you can't teach touch and game awareness. I think dude ultimately needs to decide if wants to play with power or be a finesse player. Pick one and just work on that, he's clearly shown he can't do both. He's also a terrible passer :yeshrug:

Not sure why anyone would think he's going to change at this point. Dude is 27 years old, it's over....:yeshrug:

Just waiting for him to lose athleticism and get the fukk out the league.
This.......................

The time to learn fundamentals and such is in them college years, he aint have that, he came out of high school dominating boys probably a foot shorter than him, and thought in the NBA he could cut on and off the light switch, like back then...

Got damn shame a nikka like Mutombo had a far more impressive offensive arsenal, that he showed every now and again with his unusually beasty numbers

Dwight owes Stan Van a lot of money. It's becoming more and more clear that playing in that system covered for his many offensive shortcomings. At 27 you are supposed to be playing your best basketball not still learning how to play the game. Kobe is looking more and more right. Maybe he is just a Tyson Chandler type. :yeshrug:

Dwight is just not an offensive player and never will be. He is in his 9th season. The sooner he and everybody else realizes this the better.

I don't recall Tyson Chandler constantly bytching about post touches and not playing hard when he didn't get his way. Chandler also never shot below 50% from the line multiple seasons.

I think everybody else does realize that, he's the only one who doesn't seem to get it. Even defensively he hasn't played at the level he should to justify his hype (and I say that as someone who acknowledges he's great defensive player when he wants to be).

You are right but him and his "camp" will never accept that. Everyone wants this guy to be a offensive player but he is not one. He's not a natural offensive player. If he would embrace it and get his Bill Russell on then he would be incredible..

Jameer Nelson was balling that season. When he went down, Hedo Turkoglu carried that team. Dwight didn't come close to carrying that NBA finals team.

He wants to score.. Everybody is not a scorer. Thats the problem.. Just look at him when he gets the ball in the post.

He needs to accept that he is a defensive C and any offense you get from him is gravy.
