AUDIO | Confirmation of Apparent U.S. Intimidation, Visa Diplomacy toward Haiti Senator

On Thursday evening, Senator Antonio 'Don Kato' Cheramy (Verite - Ouest) confirmed of having received communications of apparent intimidation and visa diplomacy from United States diplomats in Haiti.

Earlier in the day a WhatsApp communication was made public alleging U.S. Consul General in Haiti, Scott Boswell reaching out to the senator to discuss his visa. It was preceded by days of rumors that the U.S. had revoked the senator's visa for his position in requesting the resignation of President Jovenel Moïse.

The dubious and racism-based tactics was shocking to many, in fact, not believable. Even among Haitians, the U.S. operating in dodgy fashion brought doubt to The Haiti Sentinel's reporting and Senator Cheramy's silence added to that.

Senator Cheramy came out of silence in a late night interview to confirm the facts. Other news agencies have followed up on the story to report it as well.

The agents of the Counter-Narcotics Brigade found firearms and drones in the luggage of Jacques Yves Bastien Duroseau

At the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, on Tuesday 12 November at around 2 pm, the agents of the Anti-Drug Trafficking Brigade (BLTS) arrested a man. Jacques Yves Bastien Duroseau, from Miami, Florida from an American Airlines plane, AA # 949.
