Former Senator Jean-Charles Moïse, one of the influential leaders of the Haitian opposition, traveled to Caracas last week and met with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Mr. Moïse, a likely candidate for president in Haiti's next elections, was introduced by President Maduro to fifty delegates from African countries, in summit, whom he addressed on Tuesday.
In his declarations, Moïse, the former three-term Mayor of Milot, Nord, criticized the administration of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse's vote against Venezuela in the Organization of American States (OAS). The vote, which was in favor of military intervention in Venezuela was criticized by an overwhelming majority of Haitian citizens and Haiti's neighbors in the Caribbean.

"It was important for me to be here today to address the Venezuelan people. I can not speak without apologizing to the Venezuelans and President Maduro. On behalf of the Haitian people, I apologize to you, Mr. President, for Haiti's vote against your country at the OAS," Mr. Jean-Charles Moïse, who is of no relation to Jovenel, said.

"...for nothing in the world, Haiti should never vote against Venezuela. This should not be a diplomatic or economic vote, but a historic vote and solidarity," said Mr. Moïse to a resounding applause from the crowd, including President Nicolás Maduro who appeared emotional.

Mr. Moïse said he addressed the summit and the African delegates in Creole "because this language has allowed all slaves to regroup and fight against the slave system."

In front of a public acquainted with his cause, Jean-Charles Moïse launched the Haitian war cry, "Ayibobo!" in salute to Thomas Sankara, Hugo Chavez, and to salute the release of former Brazilian President Lula Da Silva, not to mention, the "resistance" of Nicolás Maduro in the face of the United States of America.

The leader of the Pitit Dessalines political party also thanked Venezuela for organizing the congress, which he considers to be a crossroads where the sons of Africa meet. "To all the children of Africa, I tell you that we have no atomic bomb or missile. Our strength lies in our unity and solidarity. It is time for us to fight together to defend our integrity, our sovereignty, our natural resources," Mr. Moïse called.

Haitians Ending Slavery was Revolt against God says Joel Trimble

999u5c_xwt4nx

Religious man, Joel Trimble, who has gone by the title of advisor to embattled President Jovenel Moïse, is under fierce backlash on Monday after surmising in a video tirade that the Haitian revolution to end slavery was a revolt against for God because of the implication of vodou.

"...you have a nation of people that have been serving the devil for 200 years...", Joel Trimble also says during the segment of the video where he essentially says Haiti is in the continuous state of crisis that it finds itself in because vodou led Haitians to a successful slave revolt. The system of slavery itself has never been criticized by white religious persons in Haiti like Trimble.

The Haiti Sentinel believes that Trimbles were cancelled several months ago and have not been in Haiti since February of this year. In that month, Joel Trimble had released a video very critical of the Haitian people's call for the resignation of President Jovenel Moïse after his role in the embezzlement of a $4.2 billion [USD] development fund was revealed.

Trimble, who advises Moïse and the president before him, former President Michel Martelly, disagrees with calls for justice after it was discovered that the Haitian Head of State had specialized in creating shell companies and laundering hundreds of millions of dollars for the previous administration of Michel Martelly.

Nonetheless, for many years Mr. Trimble's wife, Yvonne, has been seen as crazy woman on Haitian social media platforms. She was cancelled long ago for jumping from platform to platform, website to website, criticizing with violent hostility, journalists and Haitian nationals for their opinions on Haitian politics, especially if they were contrary to the Tét Kale regime and U.S. State Department line

Before February, Mr. Trimble and his wife Yvonne had been in Haiti for many years hosting an online YouTube program called La Bonne Nouvel. The show is in creole and features cities and towns in Haiti, showcasing foods and customs. Before the 2015 elections, wrought with violence and ballot box stuffing, Jovenel Moïse was presented on the program as a successful businessman with a banana plantation. The plantation would later be revealed as one of many schemes used by Moïse and the Tét Kale regime to siphon state funds.

AUDIO | Blackwater, Convicted of Massacre in Iraq, has $1.5M Contract with Haiti President

The Chairman of the Senate Anti-Corruption and Ethics Committee, Youri Latortue (AAA - Artibonite), reported on Thursday that President Jovenel Moïse has contracted to the tune of $1.5 million [USD], 22 mercenaries from the private military company, Academi, formerly known as Blackwater Security Consulting.

Mercenaries Arresting in February 2019
Foreign mercenaries, with fake license plates, cell phones, tactical gear, heavy arms and ammunition were arrested in February 2019 and were assisted by Erik Dean Prince and the U.S. Embassy in Haiti in their release, alleges Senator Latortue.

The ties between the embattled Jovenel Moïse administration and the United States' Trump administration, which explains the steadfast support for Moïse in the face of overwhelming calls for his resignation, runs deep.

Erik Dean Prince, the founder of Blackwater USA, now known as Academi, is the brother of U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy Devos. The lawmaker revealed that Mr. Prince intervened in February of this year for the unconditional release of 7 foreign mercenaries that were arrested in Haiti as part of a plan to move $80 million of State funds to an account controlled by Jovenel Moïse.

Nonetheless, Senator Latortue said the $1.5 million contract signed with Academi is illegal in that it did not pass through the Supreme Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes (CSCCA) as required by law.

The CSCCA is a court of the judiciary branch. It oversees the issuing of contracts. The court was also circumvented in the issuing of a contract to the German company Dermalog. In this case, after the court rejected the contract proposal twice, for inefficiencies, lack of open bidding, and other irregularities, First Lady Martine Moïse illegally coordinated to execute the contract and in the process, possibly, embezzled over $2 million [USD] of $8 million disbursed in that contract that cannot be traced.

Haiti as an extremely poor country. Although under an arms embargo for decades, heavy weaponry has been in the hands of terrorist gangs that are widely known to be State-sponsored. The typical Haitian, without support from politicians, cannot purchase arms and munitions, let alone, pass them through customs. So there is no real threat posed by Haiti's poorest, the protesters seeking to overturn an oppressive system, that would require such a measure of security.

Mr. Latortue also said that the term "mercenaries" is appropriately used in reference to the armed foreigners brought in to Haiti to serve the Haitian Head of State. He showed that in 2015, the United Nations used the term and continues to work on oversight and enforcing accountability through its Working Group.

The United Nations said then, "The outsourcing of national security to private firms creates risks for human rights and accountability." This was the statement by the Working Group on the use of mercenaries.

The statement came after the sentencing of four former Blackwater Worldwide personnel for the 2007 massacre in Nisour Square in Iraq. 17 unarmed Iraqi civilians were killed, 20 were injured, by Blackwater employees. Latortue remined the public of this incident while linking the rise in massacres by state-sponsored terrorist gangs on Haiti's underprivileged neighborhoods.

It deserves noting that Amnesty International has cited the Jovenel Moïse administration and the Haitian National Police for use of excessive force, violence and repression.
