I told you #Haiti is controlled by colonizers who believe the country is theirs. Police arrested four student activists for burning tires near a French building. After a judge ordered their release, the FRENCH EMBASSY ordered the police chief to send them to the penitentiary.

Not long ago the French Embassy handed a student over to paramilitary death squads after he ran near the embassy to escape police bullets. He was sent to jail and tortured. It makes you wonder who is running the highly sophisticated paramilitary network in the country. #Haiti

"We must find a way to profit from this crisis", says Haiti President Moïse
999u2n_cwkx9v

In an interview, Tuesday, President Jovenel Moïse said he wasn't hung up on completing his five-year mandate contrary to repeated statements made by his advisors and aides in the press. Rather, Mr. Moïse, who by not organizing elections is essentially without a parliament, said he is hung up on making reforms, with the Constitution and institutions in Haiti.

The interviewer, journalist Amelie Baron of Radio France Internationale (RFI), noted the president had no specifics to support his statements. Statements that often skirted reality.

For example, the Head of State was asked for his response to the many businesses that have announced they would be closing their doors for the foreseeable future. It's symptomatic of a nationwide paralysis of government institutions, schools, shops and merchants, unable to carry out their activites. Moïse's response was that "we must find a way to profit from this crisis, to turn it into an opportunity."

Dozens of Haitians gathered in front of the United Nations (UN) building in New York on Monday for their second protest in a week's time to demand that the world's largest organization disassociate itself from the embattled President of Haiti Jovenel Moïse.

Chanting with banners in hand, members of the Haitian-American community in the Big Apple joined the overwhelming majority of their compatriots in Haiti and living abroad by calling for the resignation of the Haitian president.

Local radio host and community leader, Edens Debas, who help organize the event said President Moïse enjoys the support of the United Nations, United States, European Union and some other countries of the international community. The group has furnished a letter of the demands to the United Nations and the Organization of American States.
