Identity is a HUGE issue for college kids of color especially when they go to a "Ivey" or a "new Ivey" like institution. Some kids go the "militant" route others go the exact opposite route to fit in with the mass, and a few play the middle or just do them.

This is pretty good concept of what the movie is about.

Are we supposed act as a representative of black people? Do we do what we feel is right even if it makes us look bad or if we get called a c00n? When do we keep it real? & when does keeping it real go wrong?
How do we balance between tap dancing for massa and perpetuating stereotypes?

White people don't have to deal with these issues but black people go through it
