the internet
we did not have more money then. the problem is biden is not doing anything about these migrants, student loans are back next month, and he is giving a never ending flow of resources to ukraine. regular people dont think he cares about regular people's problems
this and normal people are a bit fatigued from the culture wars/wokeness (you cant do that)...
also crime is on the mind of people in cities.

that type of shyt gets points from weird internet people but tax payers can do without it

HL is just people looking to argue just to argue. I clearly put “doesn’t matter nuance or circumstance”.

Chicken was 1.50 now it’s 3 a pound. Rent probably doubled. That’s all any normal human being cares about.
that's fair.

Thats more about peoples memories tho. shyt spiked under Trump as well versus the Obama era.

A big issue is the media's view of "the economy" isn't the same for regular people, but regular people subscribe to the media view.

Biden is doing bad with the economy too, but Trump's economy was also shytty for regular people. So was Obama's.

Culture wars/“wokeness” are only the republicans obsession

Nobody mentally well is voting on culture wars or even about them daily

I think that Biden's last year two of presidency has become a long-form version of Clinton's run-up to the 2016 election.

Every gaffe goes global, while every positive aspect is ignored. Not to say that it is the fault of the media necessarily.

I'm admittedly removed from the day-to-day, but my limited perspective is that the mainstream news is not as "#bothsides" as they were in 2016, but the negative spin on everything Biden went from being telegraphed by Fox News clips, to a more covert operation.

My uneducated guess is that Fox realized that while older people are susceptible to echo chambers thru Facebook, younger people were just as susceptible to Social Media influencers. Not the likes of Kim K, but the more subtle influential figures that have your ear on a regular basis... the meme account that lobs a few questionable takes on liberals occasionally, the streamer that screams racist stuff as a joke, the YouTube channel that is 'apolitical' but always talking about the mainstream media bias, the podcast hosts that is just asking questions, etc.

It's probably a little too conspiratorial to put it all on Fox News. It's cool to be contrarian in spite of being misinformed nowadays because it brings in a larger audience. That's how most of the Republican party won their primaries, so it makes sense that their constituents are using it to market themselves on social media.

Within the past week, I've seem hot-tales classifying Biden as racist, anti-immigration, cares more about immigrants that black ppl, working against union workers, etc. Anyone politically-inclined knows how ironic these takes are, while anyone looking at the polls realized how frustrating it is.

There are a lot more echo chambers to contend with and it's harder to state facts when someone has been fed weekly memes from the red-pilled manosphere/reparations-instead-of-immigration black nationalists/Hunter Biden's laptop crowds.

The economy vote is always feelings based. Doesn't matter what the numbers say if people feel like it's bad, it's bad.

Economy under Obama is one of the major reasons why we got Trump. That's when we supposedly had a 'good' economy but people were still dissatisfied. Trump continued Obama's trajectory, unemployment numbers going down and stock market going up but regular people were still suffering.

Now with inflation and current prices, people remember those Obama/Trump economies as good in hindsight. What hurts Biden the most is the fact that COVID years were great economically for people and now all those financial programs have been phased out. So they're getting double the hurt.

Biden is not doing himself any favors by running on 'Bidenomics' :snoop: that would be like Trump running on restricting abortions (which he might be dumb enough to do).
