Not really buying that cost $5K in ‘99

Thought it was gonna be one of these.

Can't imagine paying 5k for that bullshyt. Ain't shyt it can even have to warrant that price back then.

This is what our family’s “big screen” tv looked like in the mid 90s

The weight of TVs came a long way. It took two people to carry a 32” back then
:heh:

I think the Sony Trinitron I had was like 170 lb

They really taxed for name brands.

Not as many cheap brands back then
Manufacturing was not evolved enough to the level it would get to where mass production could offset cost. Components were more expensive as well.

What we witnessed in the last decade of technology just leapfrogging year to year has people using that as a reference for the past. Things cost more to make and more upfront. That was the norm.

:russ:

I’m like, the world fixing to end and I’m trying to one last run of yoshi’s island in before it’s all over and dude gonna drag me to the washateria to help him wash clothes
:martin:

Bruh, I wanted to say something so bad to my pops but he was gonna foot me dead off in my ass for disrespect.

:ufdup::hubie::to:

I definitely remember that night cause we had to go to church, it was so many people that know they wasn’t living right was there “just in case”

This computer that would spontaneously combust if it tried to run Twitter from ten years ago was 2,000 buck :pachaha:

And we're holding something that can do everything it can aside from print at half the cost. Sometimes nostalgia blinds us from innovation
