How old is your wireless router? Have you tried connecting to ethernet and downloading that way?

Only thing I can think of is some type of problem with your connection which is causing the downloads to corrupt

Been meaning to post this for a minute and I have seen this come up a lot around here lately so here is IMO the easiest way to clean up your computer, all these apps are free and are good to have on your computer or USB even just in case:

1. AVG for free

AVG AntiVirus Free 2014 - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download.com

AVG is anti virus, it has active protection on your computer, email, & browser, which means it doesn't wait until you tell it to run to protect you it protects 24/7, easy on your computer too as far as resources

2. Malwarebytes anti malware

Malwarebytes | Internet Security Product Downloads

Best Malware scanner best of its kind, make sure you run this at least once a month and do all the proper updates to it

3. Spybot Search and Destroy

Spybot - Search & Destroy - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download.com

Anti spyware tool, i run this every two months or so , again another one that is constantly getting updated

4. CC Cleaner

CCleaner - Download

If you ever need to do a quick history/registry cleaning of your computer this is the best tool out, very lightweight program i run this every 2-3 months

5. Hijack this

Trend Micro HijackThis - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download.com

I use this program when people tell me there computer is really having issue and running the other programs i mentioned aren't working, this scans your system and then provides you with a log of what is causing the problem, it will create text file which them you can post on here HijackThis Logfileauswertung This website will very plainly tell you what to keep and what to delete.

These programs are the only thing you need. If your computer is having issues with malware, spyware and viruses what you should do is disconnect it from the internet and run all of these programs in the order i just posted them in. This will take a while especially if your computer is severely infected. #1 & #2 each could take up to 45 min to.

I also highly recommend to run this TWO times back to back if your computer is crippled really bad

I have not come across a computer i could not clean using these programs in this order.
when is used to use pc and fix them for people I stayed with those programs, and I also threw on tune up utilities as well

What problems did it have?
Put it this way I never download anything... One day I was on the coil and went to the jbo and a thread said baddest chick I need an id..... I read posts and everyone was like damn she is bad etc etc so my dumb ass decides to click his link and right after I got like 50 pop ups within 1 minute. Now it runs slow and I get malware and virus protection pop ups

:laff:i just got off the phone with some indian scammers saying they were from microsoft tech support and my computer was sending them virus alerts. they didnt know they called a pc gamer, so i decided to play around with them. i gave them the run around and then the dude told me to go to their site. it looked janky so i told them it was a struggle site and the dude got off the phone and put another guy on. i then told him this doesnt look legit, breh (i acutally said "breh")

then the dude told me to fukk myself with a thick indian accent. i almost died laughing

thats these fakkits that was calling folks and telling them to open their task manager and all the things that were running under the processes tab were viruses.

my ex gf fell for the shyt, then my mom even AFTER I explained to her what happened to my ex. sheer fukking stupidity.

No would it make a difference?

huge difference.

Safe mode only allows the bare basic programs to run. A lot of viruses and redirect/popups either won't uninstall or will reinstall when you try to remove them in normal mode, cause they're still running.

reboot into safe mode and try running all midwests stuff again. after that, reboot into normal mode.

though some of those fake antiviruses may have to be uninstalled manually... :patrice:

if that's the case, give us a description of the fake program (like the name) and get back to us. :smugbiden:

I tried running Malwarebytes and Avast in safe mode but the god damn things load double the size that I can't access a custom scan.
