No matter the source / download / if i clear the cache etc. I download something and it tells me in one way or another the file is corrupt. Can't even update chrome. Even reformatted, nothing. Reformatted with a different harddrive same problem. I am also getting image / video artifacts.

I have the intel 3000 hd inside a 2nd gen mobile i5 laptop. with a switchable nvidia geforce 550M. The laptop in question is the lenovo y470. any leads would be helpful. Sidenote bonus: sometimes if i download with IE/firefox the file would work but other times it wouldn't, never with chrome. DNS is fine to my knowledge
Sidenote: noticed my girlfriends computer is saying things are corrupt as well...i downloaded something via tether and it still gave me the corruption error so im a bit confused here. Cleared cache before download too btw. Sorry not sure if its the right board... please move if it's not!
it hasnt moved since but ive read the bigger the hardive the longer it takes but like i said ive moved my files so im if this thing doesnt move in the next 24hours i might factory reset it tbh
i just got off the phone with some indian scammers saying they were from microsoft tech support and my computer was sending them virus alerts. they didnt know they called a pc gamer, so i decided to play around with them. i gave them the run around and then the dude told me to go to their site. it looked janky so i told them it was a struggle site and the dude got off the phone and put another guy on. i then told him this doesnt look legit, breh (i acutally said "breh")im good, that shyts fugly
