Early Twitter reactions are about as useful as early AICN reviews and Cinemascore ratings.
Twitter has always been on some "OMG I saw it first!! Best movie ever!!" shyt.

Even Thor 2 and IM3 got early praise on twitter.

Completely ignoring Twitter, I've found virtually nothing negative about this movie anywhere on the 'net, which is unheard of in this day and age. Even fanboy sites are saying it's the best Marvel movie.

Early reviews from the red carpet event last night are saying the movie is great:

:mjlol:at people that thought this wouldn't be good.

"Random GUARDIANS thought: In many (good) ways, it's about as indebted to FIREFLY/SERENITY as it is to the look/feel of other Marvel Movies."

I said from the jump it reminded me of serenity/firefly for obvious reasons, but what made firefly/serenity so good is that it blended action, comedy and drama seamlessly. It wasn't too funny to not take serious, and it wasn't too serious to not take funny. Iron Man 3 is a great example of a movie attempting to be too funny for its own good. Even the low-level goons had fukking witty one liners and jokes that completely took me out of the experience, Tony Stark joking around while Pepper Potts is about to be murdered by rockets and shyt. And from the reviews of people who saw the red carpet event, they all highlight the fact that it is funny, action packed and heartfelt at the same time, it won't surprise me in the slightest if it's the best marvel movie yet.

When executed properly that space crew against the universe thing works extremely well.

Also this has the potential to be the biggest Marvel movie. I don't mean in terms of money made, I mean the implications of what happens, and how much it expands the universe.

I'm gonna spoiler this for the cats that don't want to know anything....

Thanos isn't in the movie much but he's behind a lot of what's happening. You can "hear his footsteps", to quote Jay-Z.

And there's a scene that talks about the Infinity gems, their origin, what they do, and briefly shows THE CELESTIALS!

So yeah....cats are acting like this is a C tier Marvel movie when it's probably the most important in terms of moving the plot forward.

Nah didn't see it but just reading about the premiere there's spoilers all over the place. They're kinda hard to avoid so be careful.

How many trailers do u nikkas need to watch? By the time u watch the teaser trailer, the official trailer, trailer #2, the european trailer, and the extended trailer...you've pretty much seen the movie:what:
Tell me how the trailers intricately expose the plot, ruining the entire premise and rendering the movie unwatchable.

What do we know apart from the cast, a white dude, a red dude, a green bish, a fukking treeman, and a talking racc00n with big guns that are going to destroy shyt in the name of saving the galaxy? is that what a whole movie means to you? :usure:

exactly what I said :heh:

I don't know shyt about this movie. I still don't know shyt about this movie, other than the complete obvious.

I hate spoiler-rific trailers too, but as far as I can tell this one isn't filled with any spoilers at all. the marvel marketing dept has done a good job

Sequel is officially confirmed for 2017(July 28). They're not messing around with this franchise.
If Ant-Man takes off, so much for getting a Black Panther movie anytime soon. With sequels to GOTG, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Avengers, Cap America, Thor, a Black Widow movie maybe happening, it might be 10 years before we get a chance at Black Panther, and by then the general public may get tired of comic book movies by then.
