As if it wasn't obvious from the show, your boy Kurt is a goddamn weirdo.

For the most part, Sutter's blog, SutterInk.com, is a place for him to vent and then to repent. He's big on apologies. He once said, "If I didn't apologize, I'd have no fukking friends." It's also where he can step back, take a look at himself and conclude that he is most alive when he's in a "state of self-righteous agitation." And it's where he sometimes reveals a darkness almost beyond darkness. In one post, he recounts a daydream he'd recently told his wife about, in which "an obese, mentally challenged teen was vaginally raping the corpse of his dead mother with a forearm he just chewed off his nearly dead, thin older brother."

I live in two worlds. The right wing, gun-toting, meat-eating, Harley-riding, racist, homophobic, masochistic fantasy dynasty, that is SOA. And the centrist-liberal, anti-gun, vegan, Tesla-driving, gay-priding, civil-minded, pro-choice existence, that is my personal life.I often struggle with how much of each spills into the other. For Sons of Anarchy, I struggle with not letting my personal politics pollute my creative choices. The same way I clash with how my creative choices often rub hard against who I am as a person. I am very aware that SOA is an imaginary world. That’s why I lean so heavily on the absurdist quality in the show. The pulp nature of the violence keeps me in the creative arena of fantasy.I might as well be writing about wizards and fairies.Although I infuse my characters with my dreams, desires, defects and defenses, they do not share my outlook on life.

That should quiet yall down a bit. He makes a good point about the absurdity of the show. It's an imaginary world.

I mean, I hear what you're saying, but naaahhhh. You can parody something without becoming heavily dependent on that element. If that's the case, then Sutter truly became overtaken by them dark forces. He's become a parody of a parody of himself.

Your probably taking "upstate" New York like Albany.

Because I live about 1-2 hours from NYC(Rockland county) and nowhere is it rural, or a totally different world or filled with rednecks, especially Nyack. Just saying.

And I know theres rural parts in Cali, but iirc Charming is in the Bay area(Oakland, San Francisco, etc) which is very "liberal" and would also have strict gun laws. But I'm not from the Bay area or Cali in general so I dont know, you're most likely right.

You'll be surprised.

Members of the Parents Television Council are outraged following last week's episode of Sons Of Anarchy, which opened with some extremely graphic sex scenes. :beli:

In Faith And Despondency - which aired at 10pm on Tuesday - six couples were seen engaging in a variety of intimate acts in what show insiders dubbed 'the f**ktage'. :mjlol:

The three minute long sequence, which featured hunky actor Charlie Hunnam and his bare behind, was meant to be a montage showing the emotional states and relationships of the key characters.

According to Entertainment Weekly however, the PTC didn't see it that way.

President Tim Winter said: 'It’s official: In order to watch cable news, ESPN, Disney or the History Channel, every family in America must now also pay for pornography on FX.'

'Last week's episode of Sons Of Anarchy opened with the most sexually explicit content we've ever seen on basic cable, content normally found on premium subscription networks like HBO or Showtime.

He continued: 'If FX wants to be like HBO and air this kind of explicit content, then they should become a premium network... Families should not be forced to underwrite pornography. Cable Choice is a solution whose time has come, and there could hardly be a better example of it than this.'

FX has not responded to complaints and show creator Kurt Sutter had no immediate comment.

Although the show has always been known to be explicitly violent, FX does run a TV-MA advisory warning before the show and after every commercial break.

The PTC also targeted Sons Of Anarchy last year when it showed a sequence involving a school shooting. At the time, Kurt responded: 'The PTC - I would imagine these are not evil people, but they’re just not very intelligent or intuitive people.
