Talking to someone who is from Romania, an intelligent and sharp person, not very political, or an Andrew Tate fan, which doesn't mean he doesn't like him at all, he was just saying that the Romanian's aren't politically motivated, and this is a shake down, not because Tate's views, but because he didn't pay and flaunted his wealth.

He said they will be released and leave the country quietly, and they will not get any of their money or cars back. Said Romania doesn't care about how they appear to the US or the world.

That's all believable (especially considering that he's said their lax attitude towards sexual violence is a reason he chose to base himself there). But I could see him potentially facing more serious consequences than he would otherwise due to the US victim angle. Romania might not care how they appear, but the are a US ally and cooperate with them on criminal matters.

I hit him with that, and he said they don't care at all, but it's not like he or I are extremely well versed in US/Romania international relations, or aid packages or whatever, I for sure, don't know.

if it was a matter of a federal indictment, and a provisional arrest warrant from the US, I would be more confident, but as it is, they seem to have a referral from the US embassy and a possible US victim. I don't think the US could do much with him, unless he used banks in NYC or something like that. Southern District can be pretty creative,

Their shifting alliances are absolutely bizarre. There are people who have literally become allies with the right because they're so obsessively anti-Muslim, and now the right is gonna go pro-Muslim on them?

I have said repeatedly in the past, though, that the extremist Muslims, extremist Christians, extremist Hindus, and extremist Atheists are basically all the exact same people just raised in different environments.

It isn't too surprising. All these people are at stage Blue when it comes to spiral dynamics. There isn't much difference in worldview between a highly conservative Christian and a fundamentalist Muslim

Religious Fundamentalism...where horseshoe theory actually does kinda work (or would it just be a straight-line?).
