I mean using this logic, Adam Morrison had diabetes and had an ACL injury he never recovered from, and Curry was looking like a solid C (at least on offense) but had many heart issues.

I don't think Marvin Williams is a bust. Sure there were players like CP3 or D-Will (among others) drafted after him but he had a solid career and is as good as he ever was now :manny:
Marvin was picked on potiential he never lived up to tho. Scout really felt he was goin to be a superstar

Nah he shouldn't even be in that discussion. There are SEVERAL players who more fit the definition of bust than him. Injuries, not lack of skill and talent kept him out. Feel sorry for dude.

the ether
Blazers fans go to the bottle themselves remembering that we drafted a core of Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge, Nicolas Batum, Sergio Rodriguez, Rudy Fernandez, and Greg Oden ALL in 2006/2007.

I don't remember ANY team in NBA history drafting six legit NBA players covering all five positions in just two years, with at least half of them having star potential. That's a legit championship squad already with 3-4 years to develop together.

Then Oden gets hurt...Sergio is given up on too early so he goes to Spain to dominate... Rudy gets hurt and ends up fleeing to Spain too.... Roy gets hurt...Batum leaves... Aldridge leaves... They all should be in their prime now, and not one of them is with Portland anymore.

He's definitely up there...anyone who remembers the 07' draft KNOWS that he was suppose to be the next great center.I think by bust people are talking about them never reaching anywhere near their potential regardless of reason...that's the way I see it anyway.

CHristian Laettner might be up there too....MF went from the 2-time college champ to 3rd pick in the draft, to the Dream Team in 92', and couldn't even make the All Star team except for 1 year

I'm sure he's got some nice memorabilia....but it's one of the hollowest careers ever

I think that players who never lived up to their potential cause of things like injuries are in a different catagory than players who were highly touted and then when they got to the big leagues they just sucked.

Has any team took more L's than Portland when it comes to drafting?

Pass up the greatest Shooting Guard of all time for a injury prone Center only to turn around and take another injury prone Center over the greatest Small Forward of all time

Is nobody gonna call out this ridiculous shade at LeBron? :heh:

That's an understatement they passed up the goat the man who ran the 90s a completely unstoppable scoring machine and just as deadly on the other end can you imagine Clyde and mj together they could've definitely knocked off the titans of the 80s and would've stomped through the 90s
