Bennett doesn't qualify mainly because no one expected him to go first. I wonder if there's some fukked up Vegas odds that let you bet on the order of the draft, or at least on who goes first. Whoever bet on Bennett mighta got paid like a muthafukka.

That's comparing Embiid & Oden at the same age, Oden had a year in already but Embiid had the injury issues too.

It's a bit of a small sample size though for Embiid, and even Oden really, and I'm not trying to turn this into some kind of debate between the two. Just showing that, at 22, statistically Oden was not that far off, and maybe better depending on how you look at it.

I'd give the edge to Oden defensively for sure, even hampered by injuries, and on the offensive end he was definitely more raw at this age. However, Oden wasn't the number one option and didn't have the green light like Embiid does in Philly.

Even then though, I think Oden would have been a little better on the offensive end had he been healthier. He was certainly more efficient as well.

That was just Cleveland being dumbfukks. I remember Nerlens was supposed to be the #1 pick that year but dropped cuz of health concerns. Bennett wasn't even supposed to go until like 10. Giannis, Rudy, CJ, Steven Adams, Shroder, Dipo, Crabbe, Noel, KCP, Porter, Roberson, McLemore, the list goes on of 2013 picks who should have went over Bennett

It was a terrible draft. But I at least understood why they wanted him. They did everything possible to make sure he failed tho.
