Greg Maddux was the closest thing to a serial killer on the mound

The guy was so efficient. Carved up a lineup with brains and precision. It was so beautiful to watch. 2nd favorite pitcher behind Pedro. #mlbnostalgia

For once in your life you finally got it right after propping up so many mediocre cacs

I almost cried when Twins beat the Braves Ron Gant Terry Pendleton David Justice Otis Nixon :wow:
When Pendleton would adjust his elbow sleeve while placing the bat between his legs :dame:

Maddux was a beneficiary of a strike zone with 6 inches more on either side of the plate.

i always hated the logic they tried to use to justify it too. theyd always be like well if you hit the same spot over and over, even though its a ball the ump will call it a strike. like da fukk kind of bullshyt is that? so if i keep throwing the ball a foot over the batters head you gonna start calling it a strike?

Glavine also got this benefit. Smoltz imo was actually the best pitcher with the best stuff of the trio but he got the least fame

Conveniently leave out how Maddux was not all that good when it counted in playoffs
