Light years is too harsh, but I would agree Pedro was better. Pedro’s peak of 99-00 has a case as the best ever.
He was comically ahead of the rest of the league. His era in 00’ was 1.74, the 2nd best in the AL was Clemens at 3.70

The difference between Pedro and Greg is Pedro had the upper 90s fastball to rely on. I wouldn’t necessarily put Maddux over Pedro but Greg got the absolute most out of his repertoire
