I don’t understand how what I said translates to not paying attention to the world. In fact, my comment points to that observation. I know what countries’ and their leaders are actually doing. What I’m saying is that MOST actual citizens don’t want any parts of it, but we “trust” our political leaders to act in our best interest… and in most cases they’re acting in their own personal interests and maintaining the status quo.
Your political leaders are acting in your best interest... by securing resources for you and your people.

Two things

First: There are already wars going on in multiple places, it because their not white countries, no one gives a shyt.

Second: I see that fallout reference at that end, fukk you
I know this. It's the way of the world. Nobody cares about a civil war in Yemen, or tribal conflicts in Africa. It's always been that way.

Turkey and Greece may go at it again over islands in the Aegean Sea. Cyprus has been disputed by both nations and they went to war over it in the 70's. Cyprus has a DMZ like no man's land that separates the Turkish North and Greek South. Then there are two patches of land on the Southern shores that are occupied by...England, because England gonna England.

I don't want to be alarmist but I can't be the only one who thinks the past year or so has been a sign that world war is on the horizon.

China, Russia, Turkey, and Im sure there are others I'm not aware of are either engaging in straight military action, upping hostile acts (i.e. the Chinese flying/testing in Taiwan, Australian, and Japanese airspace), or being more openly hostile in rhetoric like here. They are forming a coalition to act together to kick off a war. The west acts recently like our ICBM test and endless funding of Ukraine seems to be because they are also prepping for direct conflict eventually with these powers.

I think the above countries have historical grievances they are looking to settle and also they believe the west in this moment is particularly vulnerable and want to strike while the iron is hot to get what they want.

When winter kicks in for Europe and people are without gas and heat due to being cut off , I have no doubt the above countries will up the ante. It feels like we are on a slow moving train toward war, imo.

It was part of the Roman Empire as well, it doesn’t make them Roman .

Asia Manor was adjacent to Persian lands and there was significant cultural interchange. If you want to be pedantic the rest of Italy weren't Roman either since they had their own tribal histories and languages before Rome conquered them. I can talk about Etruscans and other Italic people.

I will say, for me at least, I have too much education and intelligence to be a meat shield.

At least, I hope :patrice:  I have no interest being in the trenches. Let me fly a drone out of some container in the middle of New Mexico while expanding my waist size please :mjcry:

And none of that makes Turkish people "Persian". The only Persians are in Iran.

Those Italy folk were considered Latin . Folk in Turkey are mostly turkic and Greek . Of course , there are some Persians there , but I do t think that would be the national identity or what most of them have ever consider themselves to be .
