i know Percee P has all the classic tapes crazily labeled and categorized. He's the type of dude to happily put you on to shyt too.

I think Percee got mad talent, would love to hear some of his old ish. Somewhere should holla at him to make it happen.

Sharing all this history and work is like the preservation and advancement of Hip Hop, without us sharing it some of this ish will be eventually forgotten. I know I'm gonna take all this with me till my dying day, and if I have kids one day put them on to it too.

Can we make this the official (early to mid) 80's thread? :leon:
i bookmarked that page for coffee tomorrow. best thread in a minute. we should branch this off into Spoonie Gee too. All that enjoy records stuff.

I never could lock down essential Busy Bee stuff either. Only his over the hill shyt from the late 80's ever seems available. I had Moe Dee roasting him on a tape.
Man if someone could find some of this :banderas:

I been throwing some tracks from Running Thangs into my playlist recently :ahh:

He had mad style, you can see that wittiness inspired a lot of other MC's such as Big Daddy Kane and Jay Z. Slick Rock even. Caz was slick.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
:damn:

nyclivethrowdown%5B1%5D.jpg

Over 1 full day (33 live performances) of vintage and official live throwdowns, spanning from 1979 to 1985. New York City’s original school together in one complete set. This collector’s set includes one data DVD containing 3.5 GB of high quality (320 Bit Rate) mp3s. Each show is ID’d and sequenced, resulting in convenient use and enjoyment, as opposed to each show being one thirty to ninety minute-long continuous track. No collection is complete without the infamous Kool Moe Dee / Busy Bee scuffle, or the notorious routines of the Force MCs, Treacherous Three, and Cold Crush 4 MCs. The list of essentials on this disc is endless. Includes a 24 page full color booklet of vintage NYC show flyers and artwork.

Not sure if all the links work, but they're all here including some of Busy Bee's early stuff further down the page......
