thank god I got gamepass till 2024. ill give San Andreas a shot on my xbox but I have a sneaky feeling the upgrades won't warrant 2 decades worth of mods bein shut down.

I think part of it is that a lot of these remasters are being marketed and sold as if the work done is on the level of a remake. The lines are intentionally blurred.

In this case though, I completely understand why people would have thought they were going to see something crazy here. These are games ranging from 20 to 17 years old, that they're asking full modern day price for. It's natural for people to expect remake levels of work being done to validate its existence.
