1. Yea. Ppl post their settlements some times. And they legit bringing home 3k. With the gross being 5-6k. That’s with most paying ~1000 truck note weekly and fuel.

Here’s the group: Schneider Owner Operators public group | Facebook

Join up and check it out. When you request to join Tell them you are looking into joining sni’s ic board. They should let you in, it worked for me.

They’ve been very helpful. Will tell you the most profitable place to run. The thing they stress most is erase the mileage mentality out of your head and focus on revenue each day. Revenue, pay rate, and time are important. For example 500 mile load paying 1000 is better than the 1000 mile load paying 1500.

2. Yea.

I’ll be getting a brand new 2020 Cascadia with automatic transmission. Only 1600 down with a 3 year lease. No payment due til the 3rd week of the lease. I’ll be paying 1k a week.

You can go that route but others say it may be better to go to lone mountain or something for a less monthly payment.

How much experience do you have?

@EzekelRAGE I drive a 2019 auto Cascadia (not Evolution). Learned to drive on 10-speed manuals. Now on 10-sp auto. You can switch the auto into manual mode on those at least. I don't unless I'm eating or something.

The one thing about the automatics is they are HORRIBLE if you try stopping on slippery surfaces in cold weather, but other than this one scare I had, they have been pretty ok by me.

I didnt know we had a thread on this!

I work for one of the largest 3PLs in the world. I love logistics!

if any brehs needs loads, please reach out. I am a broker on the shipping side so i dont get any commission for helping you. So thats how you know the help is real.

I am actually going to buy a reefer unit later this year so i can start giving my upcoming trucking company all the good loads. make money on the front and back end.

Also, last mile delivery is going to be HUGE. So if you prefer to be home every night, get a sprinter van and delivery for amazon or other companies.

Going on 3 years. Been doing lease purchase with current company since early last year.

Do what you need to do. Not trying to sway, but giving a little info. Owner operator might be for you personally. The pay that you stated can be gotten with local jobs just about anywhere in the country though. Might be a little more physical labor involved, but not anything most of us men can't handle. Just have to be smart on those types of loads.

Did any brehs shut down for DOT week?

I lost my company almost 3K in 3 days because of DOT week.

I recently bought a 2014 Volvo, 10 speed manual. I run under another company's authority. The truck earns about $1900-$2300 per week, and the driver and i split that weekly settlement 50/50.

I handle all maintenance. If anyone is interested in a driving position or know someone who is, please DM me. I am in the greater Atlanta area!

Anyone here drive for Walmart, FedEx, or UPS? Thinking about leaving where I'm at but the money has got to be similar if I'm going to be regional. Wouldn't mind being out for 5-6 days at a time. Would prefer local but from what I see online FedEx/UPS have seniority boards and I don't want to run teams there, so daycab runs probably land me on the extra board sitting by the phone. fukk that shyt.

Thinking about staying and going to local side but I dunno if I feel like doing railyard shyt again or pickup and delivery. Upside would be going home daily and getting paid by the hour + 5-day workweek + off on weekends.

Been running teams here and my partner decided he wanted to pair up with someone else. Been considering leaving for awhile anyway, but not sure where because I am having a lot of trouble figuring out what the other companies are paying. I dunno if I would go there and actually make more.

Then I think about getting a truck sometimes but I would have to be making at least double what I make now, but driving solo. Idk if that is possible. Really in a bind :(

How'd everything work out for you over there @EzekelRAGE

i work for UPS, we rarely hire outside of the union. Being the best paid in the industry, there is a waiting list to get in once we run out of people who want to go into trucking. Usually it’s a long process where u have to start as a part timer, then become a package driver, then you put your name on the feeder list. But if you were to try to get in, now is the time to do it. Being a Christmas hire could get you a permanent spot.
