What is your statement based on? You know how much I make? I'm not sure what the relevance of software engineer or truck drivers salaries are here regardless. :lupe:

"I'm an Engineer, why would I ever drive a Tractor Trailer" implies that you are looking down at the career. Don't play dumb :russell:

Truck Drivers with 15+ years experience can make 120K +
Truck Driver Owner Operators make 300k plus and can go up to a million per year

You make more than that? :sas2:

Breh, you told me I never drove a truck before. I confirmed that for you. I'm not even sure what the relevance of that statement was to be honest, but I confirmed anyway. I make more than $120K and less than $300K. I'm not sure why that matters though. Truck drivers could make $2 million dollars a year. It wouldn't matter, if anything that would be more of an incentive for businesses to automate the transport of goods and get a cost savings at scale.

Why is the advancement of technology making you emotional? I dapped OP up in here and gave him some pertinent advice as truck driving as a career might not exist anymore in 10-15 years , at which point their salary will be $0 :mjpls:

Awwww don't backtrack, I know you mad you don't make near those numbers. Like I said you have never driven a Tractor Trailer, cause it shows. Even a small car still has extreme safety issues if it's automated. You have no idea was goes into driving an 80,000 pound vehicle. All the controls, understanding weight

What if there's icy roads, how would a car know when to steer, upshift, downshift, lower it's speed without a human to operate the truck safely? Ever wonder that the cargo inside the truck depends on how you should drive it?
How about if it's raining?
How about if there's oil on the ground, and there's risk of the Truck blowing up if it runs over it, how would the computer know? Jeez you're clueless :russ:

Yeah automated Trucks are the future huh. Go ask Tracy Morgan how it was when a Truck was unattended at the wheel :sas2:

Software Engineer of all majors. African, Asian, and Indian countries would outsource you in no time :dead::dead::dead:

THUNDER BUDDIES
AUTO TRUCKS ARE AT LEAST 25 YEARS AWAY AND THEY WON'T RUN ON PUBLIC HIGHWAYS. THEY WILL STRICTLY BE OTR AND RUN ALONG BACKBONE HIGHWAYS AND BE TRANSFERRED TO LOCAL RIGS WITH HUMANS.

I'M WORKING ON GETTING INTO THE GAME AS A FLEET OWNER. GONNA HOOK UP WITH PANTHER OR FED EX TO GET MY FEET WET. PANTHER SUPPLIES DRIVERS SO THAT IS COOL. I'M JUST TRYING TO CLEAR AN EXTRA 20-30K A YEAR WITHOUT ME BEING PRESENT. LOOKING AT A F-650 AT THE MOMENT. I HEARD THAT I GET FREE LABOR ON FORD VEHICLES FROM MY DAY JOB SO THAT IS GREAT. I ALREADY GET A GOOD DISCOUNT ON PARTS. NEW BUSINESS SO MY CREDIT WAS THE HOLD UP. JUST BROKE 700 FICO LAST WEEK SO GONNA SEE WHAT MY CREDIT UNION SAYS ABOUT A SMALL BUSINESS LOAN.

The technology already exist :what:
One of the links I provided is talking about successful test with trucks already being completed. Never mind the fact that the new 2016 S class can essentially drive itself.
It's like y'all witnessed technological advancements of the last decade and still doubt artificial intelligence.
Machine Learning is THE biggest area of computer science research right now, why y'all in here sounding like my grandma I don't know :scust:

Of course it exists but if you think you can just put the driver less version on the road so fast in this age of safety regulations then you are misinformed.

We arent in the 60s when safety regulations were more relaxed.
