Ancestry.Com is actually pretty dope if you are into digging back on your history.

You can find out a lot of shyt through med records, birth and death certificates.

Copped some feels when I came across my Great Great Grandfather's draft card for one of the World Wars.

Creating your own family tree and building on it is dope.

You dont even have to buy just sign up for the trial and do all you can before it runs out.

I did the DNA test, and I was impressed with how detailed everything was. But what did you think about the services for finding more on your family history? Was it easy to use? Was it quick? Was it accurate?Do you think it's worth the cost of membership even after the free trial?

I would say 70% African Americans would have 12-20% Caucasian ancestry. I would estimate that 30% African Americans that have >20% Cac ancestry.

Yea i heard that AA should have 15-25 percent cac blood so i was pleasantly shocked. The farthest i could trace my ancestry was to my great grandfather on my mothers fathers side. His name was Ferdinand Christopher McClendon and all my aunt could tell me is that he told her he came to America (Louisiana) as a kid on a 'banana boat'. I assume he's from one of the caribbean islands but i never found out which one

What are you talking about? How am I speaking on something I don't understand? Majority of AA's aren't still 100% African... all it takes is 1 Person with Cac DNA to change the bloodline / purity. Understanding the basics of Race / DNA mixing is something almost anyone can understand.

- Haitians in DR are c00ns / soft. Completely different from Haitians in Haiti. Also Haitians in Haiti have been calling out Dominicans.
- Ain't no bedwenching in Haiti. Again Haitians in DR / America are different from the ones in Haiti.

Its very accurate. The first time around, I used the trial and I was going in. I already knew off of memory what most of the ancestors names were so I was able to correctly add them and let Ancestry search the records to get dates and locations. The cool thing is that it has a feature called hints, where it takes pretty accurate guesses as to who the person is based on the information that you provided them. It will then provide you hints of what their records might be.

So for instance, if you add your Maternal Grandfather to the list, and you have his birthday and/or birth location, Ancestry will instantly search and try to give you hints of said grandfather. They'll pull up Birth records and census depending on how old they are. The census's are good because you get to see the mother, father and all the siblings living in the household around that time.

Pretty damn crazy to see that there were households of up to 14 children back then.

Seriously im hype as fukk that as an 'African amerikkkan' i got less than 10% white genes

So I paid for my DNA kit, 4/15 right, since I am in the middle east, I had to have them send it home first then send it out here.

Tell me why the idiots at the post office on base, never told me it came and sent it back home because THEY accidently put it in the wrong PO box so once it gets back home they send it back here, I got it on 5/1. I turned around and sent it straight back the same day, why did they not get it until 5/30 so yesterday 6/22 I get a email saying that I needed to resubmit my sample because it somehow got contaminated or something like do they not want me to find out about my Egyptian ancestors or something? Is the "man" trying to hold me down? or should I get a refund and try another company
