Only way I see Winslow developing is by trading Dragic and making him our official point-forward where he does the bulk of the ball handling because that's what he does best on offense IMO. His shooting doesn't fit the "stand around the 3pt line and wait for the ball" game he's been stuck in during his stay.

J-Rich to me should have been developed to be Dragic's backup at PG. I guess TJ's presence made them shift him to SG and now to SF but he has no business playing SF as frail as he is. He hustles but he's out of position.

And as I mentioned earlier I would love for Spo to implement some aspects of the TRIANGLE OFFENSE into this squad. We have the personnel to run some sets like that except the focal point of the triangle, Whiteside, will have to learn to be a better passer. But I think with him and Olynyk on the floor together it can work

This was never going to happen, Rich don't have the ball skills or the vision. Offense stutters when he's running point. I said 2 years ago we were going to have to make a decision on Rich/TJ because they play the same position, but we went against the grain and further complicated matters with addition of Waiters, Ellington, and Rodney who is another natural 2, not a SF. At least two of the bolded are going to have to get traded to clear up this rut and we can get guys back to playing their best position.

It has been this way for almost a decade since Spo became a head coach. The Heat culture always ride on the back of its defense but never develop a great offensive system that works for everyone.

I think this team needs an offensive identity more than any team Spo has coached. Once we establish an identity, I'm sure our turnovers will decrease.

At the current pace we're 4 spots away from keeping our own pick, so I would disagree. In theory, keeping a top 5 pick in '18 >> giving Phoenix #10 or 11 in '18, and having our own selection in '19. I don't advocate tanking but if we project to give the Suns a lotto pick we're better off doing what we can to keep it.

Don't get me started on Reddish; Bol Bol, Zion, or Shareef O Neal. :whew:

You the homie, but if we gon be ass, let's be wack next year not this :hubie:

If we keep our pick this year, it'll be flat out unprotected in '19. Bagley; Porter, and Bamba are dope, but none of them are in RJ's class. Barrett is projected to be the best wing prospect coming in the league since KD(Giannis was mostly unknown as a prospect). We need a chance to get him :hubie:

I don't like the offense but at the same time that's what got us those wins last year.

At the moment I haven't given up yet. I still feel this team can get on a roll and get going to my expectations. I think one of the problems is that some of you had very high expectations of the team and it's not going to be nowhere near those expectations.

I expected this team to win about 46 games after all the moves in the offseason. But some cats were high on their own supply talking about 50 plus and top 2 seed which I honestly never saw so that's why you get that disappointing feeling you see/read in the thread right now.

Some of the players haven't lived up to expectations. Some of it is in the coaching staff. Some of it is in the front office

How funny mofos have forgotten all them 69 - 64 scores all throughout the Zo/Hardaway/ Mashburn era :smh:
Hell there were times when the team wouldn't even score 50 fukking points. I remember a Sunday game vs the Knicks where we only scored 54 points on national TV and I'm certain it didnt only happen once
You didn't mention how often Mashburn was injured. Zo and Hardaway carried a bunch of unathletic bums to the playoffs without an elite scorer while Masburn's body was falling apart. :deadmanny:

I don't remember Mash being hurt much at all aside from his 3rd year. Remember to this day he's still my favorite Heat SF ahead of LeBron and Rice

Edit: Either way Wade was just as fragile. My point is we didn't start having bad offenses with Spo. Us having shytty offenses goes way back to the mid 90s way before Spo. The years we had good offenses we THE EXCEPTION. Not the Norm

Yep, don't be ass in the wrong year. We should have been last year, it didn't work out. Don't compound the problems

I'm still waiting for the Winslow-Bam-Whiteside starting front court. We were fortunate last night because Favors wasn't made a focal point of Utah's offense but Winslow just isn't tall enough imo to be able to sustain guarding most 4's. Spo got this weird fixation on starting J-Rich no matter what and we end up cycling through 3 or 4 different guys to start at power forward when the reality is we should start Bam for his size (also preserving JJ & Olynyk roles off the bench) and role with Winslow at the 3. Winslow shooting a few percentage points higher from 3 than Rich has dismantled the whole we need a shooter argument.
Spo is such a hoe I wanna whip his mothafukking ass, I knew this was coming. Morris comes out and gets 2 buckets on Winslow in the post and you know what Spo does? Pulls him, he should have never been starting at the 4 to begin with. He should be our starting 3 with Bam at power forward just like I said, or Olynyk if you're desperate for spacing. You can't expect a guy to be able to sustain guarding guys in the post when he gives up 4 inches and 25 or more lbs
