trying not to be reactionary but it feels like once McGruder is in the fold we only need 1 of Waiters/TJ :ld:

McGruder winning everyone over

I'd trade TJ for Jonathan Simmons or Robert Covington :manny:.

Robert Covington is like the perfect 3 and D wing, amazing defender, and doesn't need the ball to be effective.

Simmons is a legit SF, can create in isolation, will guard other elite wings, and improves every year. He's a steal.

I think we should look at fleecing other teams that have talented players but crappy player development.

Teams like Sac, Toronto, Philly, or even the Lakers. I'd even take a chance on a cat like Julius Randle who is falling clear into the doghouse over in Laker-dom.

Small wing span, low IQ, forces bad shots, fat, etc.

I've seen plenty of Randle and he's flawed as fukk. But he has a dog in him and he plays mad, just like Dion does, where he wants to be better than everyone on the court.

And I think he needs guys like Waiters, Johnson, and Haslem to keep him in check plus get on that Miami Work out plan.

I think he could be a guy in the same vein as James Johnson. He's only 23 too.,

Can't shoot, has T-rex arms and isn't much of a defender. He'd kill spacing and isn't a high level defender, basically he's a bench player at best.

We got a bunch of good to great defensive presences, the Heat like having instant offense big men that can pass and handle the rock, and using him as a tertiary playmaker wouldn't be a decent look for him?

If the Heat can turn D-league talent into straight money, you don't think we could go the same for Randle? Ala James Johnson?

James Johnson was showing signs of being a good player in Toronto, Casey just never used him properly and almost never played him at PF.

Randle is fools gold, he's an archaic type of player that is average or below average at pretty much everything except rebounding and it's not even certain he's good at that considering someone has to rebound on a bad team.
