Nah, the Bucks would definitely take him, but you'd also be making a conference opponent stronger.

The problem is he's a black hole, you pass him the ball on the block that shyt ain't coming out, he gonna find a way to shoot it.

I don’t blame him honestly. He doesn’t get the ball with any consistency at all. Guy probably feels like he has to show what he can do to get minutes on any given possession at this point with how Spo races to bench him at any given moment and has for 4 straight seasons now. I think 2 years ago he was the third least passed to center on a per minute basis in the whole league.

It sucks because this draft lottery is loaded with some talented as fukk young bigs too.

An Ayton or Bamba would be :blessed:

Bam is still too raw to be a starting center.

@Miami316 its always surprising when I see you rip on Spoelstra  it seems odd coming from you.
Dude stays doing stupid shyt trying to get cute and ends up outsmarting himself. He makes the same mistakes all the time and the offense never shows any consistency. I love his work defensively and he draws up some real good inbounds plays, but he makes so many mistakes in every other facet. You’d think a ten year coach would have outgrown some of these :francis:

He's no longer the Gargantua black hole from Interstellar, but he's still a black hole.

This is definitely my biggest problem with him. Bam and Kelly's willingness to pass out the post is what makes our offense dangerous. Hassan is too one note in the post. He power backs down or tries to spin. I dunno why he can't use that power dribble - jump stop combo to push dudes out the way. Or even a pump fake.

It boggles my mind that Whiteside ain't better than Steven Adams in the post.

His footwork is mechanical, it's not fluid so if you throw a double at him while he's in the middle of a move he's not an adept passer and he already made up his mind to shoot while going into the move. He hasn't shown that he can adjust on the fly while making a move. Adams doesn't care if he gets the ball, he just plays hard regardless, max effort on every play of the game can make up for being less talented.

He's always been like that though. I agree with him that the Heat shouldn't be matching down, but he also seems to give weak effort if he's not getting the ball on offense. Spo keeping his minutes in check like that is kind of like how the Raptors have kept Jonas minutes down, you can draw some parallels to them even though Whiteside is more talented they both have similar problems right now.

I don’t think I’ve seen the raptors play this season so I can’t comment on why JV’s minutes are down, but there’s no reason for your highest paid player who is arguably your best player to be 7th on the team in minutes per game. He’s posting an offensive rating of 111 this year and a defensive rating of 99. He’s the only guy on the team with a defensive rating under 100 and his +12 is the best on the team. shyt has to be more than discouraging to produce and still not get minutes. After a while it has to wear a guy down.

This is the top reason I want Spo gone. He’s alienated our best player to the point he wants out while not actually getting results either. If I’m him I tell pat fire Spo or trade me this offseason. Enough is enough. It ain’t like this offense is any good anyway. They’re 24th in points per game and 19th in offensive rating. Not like Spo is running a groundbreaking offense that lights up the scoreboard this way. Our max contract player is seventh on the team in minutes per game at 25.7 per night. That’s a joke.

Riley too stubborn to let Spo walk

Is the stiffness of his footwork just genetic or what? Is it just like having no rhythm or what?

His net rating is actually worse than Bam's, they're -2.7 with him on the floor and -1.6 with Bam on. The Raptors this year have been better with Poeltl on the floor than Jonas, but Jonas has the experience, you can see it coming a mile away though and they're going to replace Val with Poeltl. I think the same will eventually happen with Bam and Hassan, his numbers are good, but something just isn't clicking with him and the Heat.

I'm not sure to be honest, a lot of the bigs today are coming from outside the US and they generally started life as soccer players which is a large reason why Dream had such incredible footwork. But, then you have Shaq who has some underrated footwork and he just seems naturally gifted.

Where are you getting a -2.7 from? Basketball reference has his offensive rating at 111 and his defensive rating at 99.
