My brother's keeper
Defense, hustle, and not keeping Whiteside involved. We flipped a switch in the last few minutes and we saw our defensive potential for a few minutes. It's scary.

Our 3-pointers were off too.
We don't have the talent to be lazy on D. Suspected that was an issue. Problem is that can wear down over the season so they'll pick spots

As far as White, don't think they'll ever run anything for him

Against... Orlando? :francis:

Honestly, as bad as we were playing, we were pretty much in the game the entire way. Dragic and Waiters were VERY OFF, JJ got a couple of unfortunate calls, and we had some lack of hustle plus they hit some tough shots.

There were good things about the game. Winslow's defensive impact is huge. He can pretty much turn an average defensive unit into a good one and make it stable. Winslow is also plain better decision maker than JJ or J-Rich.

Bam was a little nervous and Vucci/Biyombo are a hard combo to deal with for a rookie. Biyombo is strong as fukk, has good timing, and is extremely physical. Vucci has that old man game, he's pretty skilled, and he has a knack for the ball. He's not great defensively but he's long so it's some very different looks.

Not a good look losing to fukking Orlando. See why I was telling you do calm down, @DontDoIt ?

At lease we Know WhiteSide came to play. Let's see if the rest of the team can follow through

Word up James Johnson is a fukking beast.

Eh.

Bad loss because our backcourt didn't show up.

They need to take these games against the Knicks Nets and Magic seriously. Too many careless turnovers.

I know we dont have a superstar but we gotta give somebody that superstar green light when the offensive sets are not working. Maybe it should be white or dragic cause he can get to the paint but it seems like if out guys miss 3 shots in a row then they just give up the rock to find the next hot hand but sometimes u need somebody to go 5-15 to gain some foul shots or get others open looks

The Magic have always played the Heat hard. You make it seem like the Heat have never lost to them before
Not saying the game wasn't fun to watch and yes I know our instate rivals tend to give us fits and I've always loved and respected Vuccis game and yes Dragiç and Waiters didn't play well ....

BUT....if we need to be clicking on all cylinders to beat the Orlando fukkin Majic.... If our players can't take pride in beating the instate rival who happens to be the Orlando fukkin Majic for its season opener...Perhaps we should tone down the top 2-3 seed talk

Anyway I'm not panicking. I still think this team can win 46-50 games. But I can't say I'm not disappointed.

And now I gotta deal with my f@ggot cousin from Orlando who keeps trying to call to rub it in even tho I keep sending his shyt to voicemail. I promised him a 15-20 point ass whooping to open the season and now I have to hear his God-damned mouth :birdman:

I don't care what they say, Waiters is having issues with his ankle. He's a crafty scorer so you miss it but his lateral movement on defense isn't how it was last season.

Dragic was probably off rhythm. He hasn't played much with us during the preseason and he was missing threes that he usually nails.

We miss McGruder. He's smaller than J-Rich but he has a similar motor and higher defensive IQ.

I wish we would have given Jordan Mickey some burn.

:francis: He knows he's gonna be dealing with it all season.
