he decided to fire you before you came in late, sounds like he just used that as an excuse.

ive fired people before, and sometimes the reasons aren't something that can be explained easily. especially without bruising their ego or getting into an argument (that's why he fed you compliments on the way out the door).

so i just tell them it's not working out and if they ask why i just say "in a general way", and hand them their last check.

sucks but if someone isn't worth what their being paid, and/or clashing personality wise with me or the rest of the group, what other choice is there?
So instead of manning up and telling people what they need to hear, you decide to be a bytch?:gucci:
I've seen this way too much working in corporate. A degree doesn't give you the right qualifications to lead but unfortunately that doesn't matter. I've seen managers straight lie and manipulate a whole situation because they lacked the courage to tell the person the real reason they are firing them. And these ppl go through life behaving this way. I cannot respect that.
And sometimes and employee might not even know they're doing something wrong bc no one tells them. if you're complimenting an employee weekly and don't have any complaints, waiting until you're fed up and use an excuse you lack integrity, point blank period.

I always document, and in most cases put people on PIPs. I know it's frustrating to get fired, but as a manager, it just doesn't always work out. I always tell someone when I hire them that I am giving them an opportunity, and it's up to them what they do with it. I have weekly 1:1's with my team, and have multiple development programs and opportunities for the tm's. I truly want everybody to succeed, and work their way up, but the laws and emphasis on HR nowadays, if it just isn't working out, and you want to move on from someone, you just can't say "you aren't the right fit" or at least not in NY state. I prefer to look someone in the eyes and tell them what I think, but 2016 corporate America is not like that anymore. You have to work off a script nowadays. Go out and get your own, and you don't have to worry about that sh1t. If I didn't need the insurance for my wife's medical issues and my kid wasn't starting college in 2 years, I would definitely take some risks and start my own business.

:yeshrug: cac or no cac. I used to think about racism in the workplace until I had two black managers consecutively who were bytches. One black nikka and one a black bytch.
Every-time I got written up it was by a bytch ass black manager who let other white people slide on minor things- My manager Now is white and she is cool as fukk , I come in in at 7:am , Everyone come in at like 10:30 am. Long as you do your work she doesn't care.

Our team is small and very important to the whole organization. Last thing she wanna do is fire someone, hiring another person will take at least another 6 months.
Everyone is scared of my Director and My manager so other managers and directors are cautious of how they talk to me:ufdup:
I was thinking about getting this one ghetto black manager fired :jbhmm: for talking crazy, they already don't like her but Imma let it slide :mjpls:

Point is I'd rather a cac manager, than a c00n who only writes up black employees, or a ghetto bytch who always has an attitude.

:mjlol:
nah. if i thought they were someone who i could be direct with, I wouldn't be firing them in the first place.

most people cannot handle criticism. They get defensive and start reacting emotionally, creating straw man arguments.

when you tell someone the truth about themselves, it rarely ends well.

trying to bridge the gap between their perception of events and the actual events is like trying to go across the fukking grand canyon.

you think they want or need to hear the truth, but that isn't the case. what they want is to do the bare minimum at work and skate by unnoticed. when that doesn't work, they throw a tantrum, and I ain't got time for it

you should. but if your boss is telling you he dont care about time like that. and you show up within 15 mins fo your shift. and you're a very good worker(which he supposedly was). there is no issue. the issue is he was black and the guy was white and thats how it goes. life living under white supremacy.

Which is exactly why he has to be on time. He posts on thecoli regularly and didn't realize he was in a system of white supremacy until he got fired? That's the problem with black people. We always wanna be buddy buddy and trust cacs and be willingly ignorant about who they really are like the one we know is somehow different. One way or another they always end up showing themselves so you have to be on point either way. They're always going to look for ways to destroy you because that's their nature. Ignoring that and trusting him in the first place was his fault because he threw everything he already knew about them out the window. He let his guard down and got caught slipping.

BONUS: Always LEAVE THE BUILDING FOR LUNCH. even if you not hungry, have no food, or whatever. Leaving the building makes sure

1) i dont get hit with any work while off the clock

2) dont get sucked into worked related topics or have to be fake on my break

3) less chance of me revealing something personal that a CAC WILL ALWAYS USE AGAINST YOU LATER :ohlawd:
breh here knows

The red is the main importand part, when playing chess or checkers. Basically, he was setting up you up to fire you right after he hired you. He told you that lie, to let your guards down and that's what happened. But, you fukk yourself up; by asking about attendance, you gave him the chess move.

From right there, when you asked about attendance, he already knew what he was going to fire you for. They were looking to fire you anyways, so asking about attendance, made his job easier.

Op have you never heard the saying"On time is late, and early is on time?

Duke really finessed you from the jump :russ:

On a side note, this low-key ain't even a race issue, it's more corporate.Ive had black female managers play those same type of games with me.:yeshrug:

Yup. My best and absolute worst managers were black women. One saw my potential and pushed me to excel. Then years later a different one saw me as a threat and took shots at every opportunity.
