Wow! I’m bought to get paid. Stadia was much better than it was given credit for. They really didn’t sell it right. It should have been like gamepass Without the need to buy a console.

Edit: Stadia should have been built into YouTube and tied to YouTube Premium instead of it’s own subscription. If people could pick games like picking videos, it would have been a smash hit.

Not really a surprise. They supported it so poorly that it made me wonder why did they even bother.

They pretty much threw in the towel after the Bethesda deal because Google realized they didn’t wanna spend like that to establish themselves in the industry

It was already dying at that point but that Activision deal and Sony buying Bungie buried them

When Microsoft came out with Project Xcloud, they should have had a fire lit under them. But they just kept keeping on like BlackBerry when the iphone dropped.

Edit: Oh yeah, Phil Harrison is officially :flabbynsick:

You can argue that when they shut down their internal game studios is when they threw in the towel. But honestly, it's another example of Google creating a product/service that they never wanted to succeed.

Yeah I believe they did that shortly after the Bethesda deal. They realized they were gonna have to spend around that much if not more to establish themselves and said ”Welp:hubie:
